The Montreal Canadiens will be paying a visit to Winnipeg to take on the Jets in their final game before the Olympic break. The Jets are sitting nine points out of a wildcard playoff spot, with four teams between them and the final spot. The good news is, the teams between them and the final spot are not that great. With a very strong home stretch, they could find themselves in a playoff spot. Their defensive game and goaltending will need to be on full display as the Canadiens are the third highest scoring team in the NHL, averaging 3.43 goals per game. However, their defensive play is not quite as good. They average 3.25 goals against per game.
The Jets are a better home team than road team, and I expect they will want to be heading into the Olympic break with a win. They will have the advantage in net with Connor Hellebuyck getting the start. His 2.74 GAA and .901 SVP is much better than Samuel Montembeault’s who has a 3.23 GAA and .868 SVP. We are getting some good value for the Jets on home ice, and I will be capitalizing on it. Give me the Jets on the money line.
