The Colorado Avalanche will be playing one of their final games of the regular season on Tuesday when they are in Calgary taking on the Flames. The Avalanche essentially have nothing left to play for as their dominant regular season has already secured them the President’s Trophy. The are the leagues best offensive and defensive team. They are averaging 3.70 goals for per game, and only 2.47 goals against per game. At the other end of the ice, the Flames are brutal in both statistical categories. They are only scoring 2.55 goals per game, and they are giving up 3.15 per game. The Flames are seeking a high draft pick in the upcoming draft, so I expect they will not be playing desperate hockey on Tuesday.

Even with nothing left to prove or play for, the Avalanche should be able to dominate this game. If some of their superstars get sat out of the lineup to rest, they have enough depth that I am still confident in them to get it done. Give me the Avalanche in this one.
