The Nashville Predators and Washington Capitals hit the ice on the final night before the Olympic break. These intra-conference teams have very similar records, and while there is a good chunk of time left, they have lots of work to do. We have provided our Predators vs. Capitals prediction to get you set for what should be a hard-fought game.

Nashville is playing in their second game in as many nights, and will be the road team in this matchup. While they have been earning points, they have just three wins in their last nine games, so they aren’t necessarily showing a winning consistency. Washington has won four of their last seven, and they have been very solid on home ice, with a 15-10-3 record. They are also getting back center Pierre-Luc Dubois who has played just six games this season and will give a boost to the team. I also do not trust Nashville’s suspect defensive ability, as they give up the NHL’s fifth-highest goals against per game at 3.46. Washington will be looking to even the score against Nashville this season, and I say they do it.
