We have reached week 17 of the NFL season and there is still a lot to figure out in terms of the playoffs. Let’s break down my 5 bold NFL predictions for Week 17 as to what will happen on Sunday

Nick Foles throws four touchdowns, Eagles still miss playoffs

Nick Foles is the Philadelphia Eagles savior and I think he will match his output of last week against the Texans where he threw for 471 yards and four touchdowns.

He is facing a Redskins team that doesn’t have much to play for and I think that defense will quit on their coach. Foles is going to have a huge game throwing for at least four touchdowns but it won’t be enough as the Vikings will still win.

Broncos score six points or less

The expectation is that Vance Joesph will be fired after this season and it’s clear the Broncos have already quit on him. The Broncos looked lifeless against the Oakland Raiders, one of the worst teams in football and on Sunday I think the offense is going to really struggle.

Look for Case Keenum to stink it up again against the Chargers and for the offense to get nothing down. This is going to be an embarrassing performance and the offense will put up six points or less. If there was any doubt left this will be the final nail in Joesph’s coffin.

Teddy Bridgewater secures a starting job for next year

The expectation is that Teddy Bridgewater will start for the Saints on Sunday and I think he will impress enough to get a starting job next year.

He proved in the preseason that he can still be a starter in this league and I think he will throw for at least 250 yards and two scores.

There are a lot of teams that need quarterbacks this offseason and I think he will impress even to lock up a job.

Colts win by 10 +

There are questions if Marcus Mariota will play in the Sunday Night Football game but even if he does I think the Colts will win by 10 points or more.

The Colts seemed to not take the Giants too seriously and that led to only a one-point victory but this isn’t a team they are going to take lightly.

They beat the Cowboys 23-0 the week before and I think the defense will shut down in this game. It will then become the Andrew Luck show and this game will get ugly early.

Steelers make the playoffs

The Pittsburgh Steelers need to win on Sunday and have the Baltimore Ravens lose to make the playoffs, and that’s exactly what will happen.

The Steelers are going to have no issue winning the game and I think it will turn into the Baker Mayfield show for the Cleveland Browns.

He will throw at least two touchdowns and the Browns defense will force a few turnovers. Steelers fans will be sweating most of the afternoon but in the end they will pull it out and get the job done.
