Week 2 of the 2025 NFL regular season is upon us, and it is highlighted in part by a Sunday Night Football showdown between the Atlanta Falcons and Minnesota Vikings. It is the second consecutive primetime game for Minnesota and the first of many this year for Atlanta.
Here are my best TD scorer bets for Sunday night, and also be sure to check out our full Falcons vs Vikings predictions.
Kyle Pitts, TE, ATL (+350 at DraftKings)
Both Drake London and Darnell Mooney have been cleared to play this weekend, but it is unlikely that either one is 100 percent. As such, Pitts should be a focal point of Atlanta’s offense – just as he was last Week 1. The Florida product hauled in 7 of 8 targets for 55 yards against Tampa Bay. Those numbers may not be anything special, but it’s clear that Pitts has the trust of second-year quarterback Michael Penix Jr. That’s important – especially in the red zone. Meanwhile, Minnesota finished the 2024 campaign ranked #28 against the pass.
Justin Jefferson, WR, MIN (+110 at FanDuel)
Getting Jefferson at any number into plus money represents fantastic value. The former LSU standout is one of the best receivers in the game along with Cincinnati’s Ja’Marr Chase. Jefferson scored 10 touchdowns last year and he found the endzone once in Week 1 against Chicago. To say that he has a favorable matchup against the Falcons would be a gross understatement. This team is infamous for having no semblance of a pass rush and it surrendered 34 passing touchdowns last season. Only Carolina allowed more. The J.J. McCarthy-to-Justin Jefferson connection should be clicking on Sunday Night Football.
