Michigan was a force to be reckoned with in the 2022 season before unceremoniously falling to TCU in the College Football Playoff, but plenty of members of the Pickswise Nation are riding with the Wolverines to get off to a dominant start in 2023. Head coach Jim Harbaugh will be absent for this game as part of a 3-game suspension for violations around COVID-19, and although they lost a host of players to the draft the Wolverines should be able to reload this year behind quarterback J.J. McCarthy and running back Blake Corum.
East Carolina was solid on offense last season but absolutely woeful against the pass, and that could spell disaster here against McCarthy and company. Michigan could start this season with a bang and a dominant victory over the Pirates to cash some winning tickets for Pickswise users.

Wisconsin Badgers -27 over Buffalo Bulls (-110)

With a promising lineup of coaches and SMU quarterback transfer Tanner Mordecai under center, there are plenty of reasons to be optimistic about Wisconsin. The Badgers return 8 starters from last season which should help them get off on the right foot, while Buffalo returns just 1 lineman that played more than 200 snaps and scored a rating above 70 in pass blocking with PFF. The Bulls could be in for a tough day as Wisconsin looks to prove that it is the real deal this season.

Indiana had plenty of struggles last season as they went just 4-8 and lost a number of key pieces to the transfer portal. It is not yet confirmed who will be starting under center for the Hoosiers; Tayven Jackson is competing with Brendan Sorsby, while OSU is in the same boat with QBs Kyle McCord and Devin Brown expected to split snaps. However, Ohio State returns plenty of talent on defense and should have the tools to shut down Indiana. That seems to be the Pickswise Nation’s view, and a dominant 30-point victory for the Buckeyes looks to be the public pick for this matchup.
