The week in Major League Baseball continues with a full 15-game slate on Saturday. It’s an intriguing schedule that is headlined by Tigers vs Rays, Mariners vs Cubs, Red Sox vs Giants and Mets vs Phillies. There are more than enough betting opportunities, so let’s try to take advantage.
Below is my mega parlay, and also be sure to check out all of our MLB picks.
Brewers ML (+122)
Phillies ML (-110)
Astros -1.5 (+145)
MLB parlay odds: +938
Milwaukee Brewers ML over Minnesota Twins (+122)
The Twins are favored because they are playing at home, where they are sporting a 20-13 record. However, that’s hardly enough reason for me to back them for a win on Saturday. The value is definitely on Milwaukee after the visitors rolled 17-6 in the series opener on Friday. Needless to say, today’s score probably won’t be 17-6 – but lefty Jose Quintana should be able to put his club on the verge of a sweep. On the road this season, Quintana comes in with a 3-0 record and 1.59 ERA. The Twins are countering with Simeon Woods-Richardson, who hasn’t been good anywhere in 2025. SWR is 2-5 with a 5.13 ERA and 1.50 WHIP. Give me the Brew Crew to maintain momentum from last night.
Philadelphia Phillies ML over New York Mets (-119)
The Mets are in the midst of an almost hard-to-believe 7-game losing streak. They aren’t even being competitive, either. Six of their 7 setbacks have come by multiple runs. They were outscored 12-1 in their last 2 contests in Atlanta and then got humiliated by Philadelphia 10-2 in the opener of this series. New York has been so bad so suddenly that its entire lead in the National League East is gone – Philly now leads by a game. That also has a lot to do with the Phillies, themselves. They are 8-1 in their last 9 overall and have scored at least 7 runs on 4 occasions during this hot stretch. With a promising youngster on the mound in Mick Abel (2-0, 2.21 ERA, 1.03 WHIP, 17-to-4 strikeout-to-walk ratio in 20.1 innings), the home team should be able to stay hot at the expense of a reeling opponent.
Houston Astros -1.5 over Los Angeles Angels (+145)
The Astros are 7-2 in their last 9 after winning the series opener 3-2 in 10 innings last night. This time around I think the visitors can prevail by multiple runs. Early returns on starting pitcher Brandon Walter are encouraging, as he has posted a 1.53 ERA and 0.91 WHIP through 3 appearances this season. For the Halos, Jose Soriano has been decent on he whole but is 0-3 with a 4.88 ERA at home. Los Angeles briefly got hot against the Yankees but has now dropped 5 of its last 8 contests. I won’t hesitate to back the run line with Houston guaranteed a full 9 innings at the plate as the visiting side.
