Bettors can enjoy a full 15-game slate on Saturday, with a play in Pirates-Cubs, concluding with a play in Rays-Giants. Let’s dive into our top three MLB player prop bets for today’s slate. You can also get our MLB picks for today’s games and EVERY MATCHUP through the rest of the season.
Best MLB prop bet: Rangers-Blue Jays F5 over 4.5 runs (-120)
Odds available at Bet365 at time of publishing.
Anytime Patrick Corbin and his 4.00 ERA face off against an elite offense, it finds my card. We’re adding on the Rangers tacking on runs against LHP Eric Lauer, who missed all of 2024, but has looked promising in 2025. Yet, he showed signs of regression in his last start versus the Dodgers, allowing 10 baserunners on 18 batters, lasting just three innings.
DraftKings and FanDuel have this prop priced down to -130 and -135, while BetMGM is sitting at -145 – So -120 on Bet365 is a price I’m willing to lay.
Best MLB player prop bet: Shota Imanaga (CHC) under 2.5 earned runs (-140)
Odds available at Bet365 at time of publishing.
Shota Imanaga centered around our Sunday Night Parlay last week and was nearly unhittable. But he made back-to-back mistakes that led to the Cardinals jumping out to a 2-0 lead in the 3rd inning. He coasted through six innings but received the loss while allowing three earned runs and nine strikeouts.
To open up the slate, the Cubs play host to the struggling Pirates, who stole Game 1 of a 3-game set. This will be the second time this season that Imanaga gets to square off against the Pirates – His first outing in April coasting through five innings, not allowing an earned run.
His 4.5 BB% will be on full display, as will his .156 average to opposing hitters through two starts in August. I’m willing to take on the vig here at -140, while the rest of the market is coming in at -160.

Best MLB player prop bet: Rafael Devers (SFG) over 1.5 Hits+Runs+RBIs (-120)
Odds available at Caesars at time of publishing.
It’s been a total disaster since the San Francisco Giants acquired Rafael Devers. They’re 7-18 since the All-Star Break and have dropped six games in a row – All home games. Yet, Devers is going to be our top play of the slate.
Devers is still one of the most feared hitters on the planet. His average exit velocity % and hard-hit rate rank in the 98th and 99th percentile in baseball, and now gets a soft matchup versus RHP Adrian Houser and his 4.46 xERA.
