Atlanta Hawks guard Nickeil Alexander-Walker (7) shoots against the Milwaukee Bucks in the third quarter at State Farm Arena.
Long-time NBA fan, following the game closely for 21 years now. Joined the Pickswise writing staff for the 2020-21 season and have given out winning picks since. Hopefully we can make some money together! Oh, and I firmly believe Lebron James is not one of the two best basketball players of all time. Yeah, I said it. Time sure does fly by when you’re having fun and this NBA season has been nothing short of magical. We are on to the second to last day of the regular season which means all 30 teams are in action! Prime Video will have a double-header starting at 7 pm ET between the Cavaliers and Hawks, followed by an all-West battle in Minnesota between the T’Wolves and Rockets at 9.30 pm ET.

It took quite an effort, but I went in-depth with all 15 match-ups and come up with my NBA Best Bets for every single one of them. Odds are courtesy of FanDuel, be sure to check our NBA Picks before making any bets on this massive 15-game slate. Now let’s focus on my bets!

Pistons vs Hornets Best Bet: Pistons +4 (-106)

Cade is back, the Pistons would be smart to focus on getting him back into shape in these remaining two games so I don’t expect them to just roll over here. It’s a rare occasion to get the best team in the East as a road underdog in a cross-Conference affair.

Cavaliers vs Hawks Best Bet: Hawks -7.5 (-114)

Atlanta gets revenge for the defeat against the Cavs suffered just two days ago. They’ve been dominant in this match-up when playing at home winning 8 of the last 9 such games. Cleveland could rest a few key players here given they’ve already guaranteed themselves the 4th seed.

Heat vs Wizards Best Bet: Under 249.5 (-108)

As bad as the Wizards have been defensively, this number is just too high for me. These two have gone under the total 6 times in 10 meetings, averaging 231.9 points per game during this stretch.

76ers vs Pacers Best Bet: Over 235.5 (-106)

The Pacers have nothing left to play for so they can put one more show for the home fans on the offensive end, playing a shorthanded 76ers team here. These two are averaging 235.2 points per game in the last 10 meetings.

Pelicans vs Celtics Best Bet: Under 223.5 (-106)

The Under is 10-4 in the last 14 Pelicans games and 13-7 in the last 20 for the Celtics. The two teams saw just 212 points in the first meeting earlier this year, while the last 10 games head-to-head have averaged 220 points and the under has cashed 7 times.

Raptors vs Knicks Best Bet: Knicks -6.5 (-110)

New York has dominated all 4 meetings so far winning by double digits and keeping the Raptors under 100 points in 3 of them. There’s still a mathematical possibility they get the 2nd seed from the Celtics, so I expect a focused Knicks team to show up here.

Magic vs Bulls Best Bet: Magic -15 (-110)

Orlando has put together a 4-game win streak, impressing on the offensive end with at least 123 points in 3 of those games. Chicago did beat the Wizards in back-to-back games, but it’s hard to take those results seriously as the Wizz are losing on purpose. Orlando dominated here.

Nets vs Bucks Best Bet: Nets +9.5 (-105)

It’s been a rough stretch for the Bucks lately. They are in all kinds of shambles right now, losing to the Nets would not be a surprise at all. Brooklyn just beat them by 6 points in a game played four days ago.

Mavericks vs Spurs Best Bet: Mavericks ML (+870)

It’s very likely the Spurs will rest players here, while the Mavs will go all out for Cooper Flagg to get numbers to boost his case for the ROY award. Who knows, even a Mavs win isn’t out of the question. I think it’s worth backing them at these odds.

Thunder vs Nuggets Best Bet: Nuggets -11.5 (-108)

OKC has secured the number one spot, while the Nuggets still need to win to be safe in the 3rd seed. They’ve won 10 in a row, putting up incredible numbers offensively. I think they go all out and beat the Thunder reserves by a lot here.

Grizzlies vs Jazz Best Bet: Jazz -4 (-106)

It’s the final home game of the season for Utah, I think they’ll do their best to treat their fans with one more win before it’s all said and done. Memphis has lost 6 games in a row overall and 9 in a row on the road.

Timberwolves vs Rockets Best Bet: Rockets -10.5 (-110)

Houston is still in play for home court and the 4th seed, a win over Minnesota combined with a Lakers loss to the Suns gets them there. The T’Wolves have struggled a lot lately without Ant Man and Jaden McDaniels, I don’t think they can turn things around against one of the hotter teams in the NBA right now.

Warriors vs Kings Best Bet: Kings +11.5 (-110)

It’s a meaningless game for both sides. Sacramento has done well against the spread lately, covering 5 times in 7 games. It’s their final home game of the season, I don’t think they’ll roll over in front of the home fans on this occasion.

Clippers vs Trail Blazers Best Bet: Clippers +2 (-115)

This is a massive game for both teams, as it’ll decide the 8th seed. If there’s one advantage the Clippers have here it’s the experience. Kawhi has played in a ton of high pressure games in his career, the same cannot be said about most of the Trail Blazers roster. LA is the safer pick in this one.

Suns vs Lakers Best Bet: Lakers ML (+110)

The Suns are locked into the 7th seed while the Lakers still have everything left to play for. A win keeps them 4th, despite the injuries to their two best players I think they find a way to come out on top vs a resting Suns squad here.
