The weekend is just around the corner and there’s no better way to get ready for it than with a massive night of NBA basketball! That’s exactly what we get with a 10-game slate this Friday, including an NBA TV double-header starting at 8:00 pm ET. First up it is the Thunder and Grizzlies, followed by a huge clash in Los Angeles between the Lakers and the Bucks.
To enhance your viewing experience, I have gone through all 10 games and prepared my best for every single one of them. Head over to our NBA picks page for predictions on the side and total, as well, but for now let’s focus on my best bets!
Raptors vs Celtics Best Bet: Raptors +8.5 (-110)
RJ Barrett’s return makes all the difference for the Raptors. With him in the lineup they are 16-6 SU this season, while when he doesn’t play they are just 7-9 SU. If Toronto can keep the Celtics’ 3-ball under control, they will be in a good position.
76ers vs Magic Best Bet: Kelly Oubre Jr Over 8.5 points (-130)
This should be an easy line for Oubre to clear. He has done it in 11 of 13 games this season; only once in 6 road games he’s failed to do so. The Magic rank second in points allowed to opposing small forwards, as well.
Wizards vs 76ers Best Bet: Wizards +2.5 (-110)
The Pels are on a 9-game losing streak. It’s hard to see that ending against the Wizards who have beaten them in 9 of 12 home games and are a solid 5-3 SU over their last 8 games overall.
Clippers vs Nets Best Bet: Clippers -2.5 (-110)
James Harden faces his old team; you just know he will want to put on a show here and carry his Clippers to their eighth win in 10 games. The Nets have recorded just 1 win in 5 games and are 1-7 SU vs Pacific Division opponents.
Thunder vs Grizzlies Best Bet: Jaren Jackson Jr. 2+ made threes (-180)
JJJ has cleared this line in 20 of 35 games this season, while in head-to-head meetings he has done it 12 times in 18 against the Thunder. OKC will have a hard time containing him.
Hawks vs Nuggets Best Bet: Hawks ML (+108)
With Trae Young no longer around the team, I expect the Hawks to pick up their effort on both ends. I have a lot of confidence in Jalen Johnson. If the Hawks can get a solid game from Porzingis they’ll be in good shape.
Knicks vs Suns Best Bet: Jordan Clarkson Over 7.5 points (-122)
New York could definitely use a productive game from Jordan Clarkson. He has cleared this line in 66% of his games this season (25/38), plus the Suns rank sixth in points allowed to opposing PGs.
Kings vs Warriors Best Bet: Warriors -13.5 (-110)
The Kings are getting blown out on a regular basis these days, and rumor has it they are working on a couple of big trades to shake things up. The Warriors are 5-1 SU in 6 home games and have defeated the Kings in 10 of 13 at Chase Center.
Rockets vs Trail Blazers Best Bet: Amen Thompson Over 6.5 rebounds (-154)
Thompson has cleared this line 23 times in 34 games, which is a success rate of 68%. It’s good enough to warrant us backing him to do so again on Friday against the Trail Blazers. Portland also ranks ninth in rebounds allowed to opposing PGs this season.
Bucks vs Lakers Best Bet: Bucks ML (+136)
Giannis has the upper hand over Luka in head-to-head meetings, with 8 wins in 11 games. Milwaukee’s sense of urgency to win is far greater here; the Bucks need to get back into the playoff race in the Eastern Conference.
