Long-time NBA fan, following the game closely for 21 years now. Joined the Pickswise writing staff for the 2020-21 season and have given out winning picks since. Hopefully we can make some money together! Oh, and I firmly believe Lebron James is not one of the two best basketball players of all time. Yeah, I said it. Most of the focus is on Super Bowl LX this weekend, but the NBA has gifted us with a massive 10-game night on Saturday, with a pair of early tip-offs. The action begins as early as 3.30 pm ET on ABC between the Rockets and Thunder. Prime Video will have the Mavs vs Spurs clash at 6 pm ET, followed by the Warriors vs Lakers game at 8.30 pm ET on ABC.

I’ve prepared my NBA Best Bets for Saturday’s action, focusing mostly on spread bets. Odds are courtesy of FanDuel. We got you covered with in-depth NBA Picks for Saturday, but let’s dive into my bets now.

Wizards vs Nets Best Bet: Wizards +4.5 (-110)

Neither side is focused on winning right now, but unlike the Nets the Wizards actually put in effort on certain nights. They just beat the Pistons on the road by 9 points, I quite like their chances as underdogs in Saturday’s game.

Rockets vs Thunder Best Bet: Rockets +2.5 (-120)

Kevin Durant and co. have slipped a little bit with back-to-back home losses, they are in need of a win to stay on track here. On the road they’ve won 4 in a row, time for them to beat a injury riddled OKC team that just got beat by San Antonio 116-106 the other day.

Mavericks vs Spurs Best Bet: Mavericks +10.5 (-112)

These two just met last night with the Spurs winning by double-digits. Adjustments will be made from both sides, I expect Dallas to be a lot more competitive here. Cooper Flagg is on a historic run individually, another 30+ point performance in Prime Video covered game will solidify his case for ROY.

Jazz vs Magic Best Bet: Jazz +8.5 (-128)

The Jazz are playing without any pressure whatsoever right now and this has allowed them stay in games lately. Their last 3 losses have been decided by just 2, 7 and 10 points, I have them being competitive against an unconvincing Magic side that’s covered just 3 times in 14 meetings when playing at home.

Hornets vs Hawks Best Bet: Hawks ML (+110)

Charlotte owns the longest current active win streak in the NBA with 8 wins in a row, but the Hawks have also been solid over their last 8 games winning 6 of them. Jalen Johnson and co. just beat the Jazz despite hitting 8 threes, that’s the biggest strength of this team. They’ve won 4 of 5 meetings at home vs LaMelo Ball’s team, make it 5 of 6 after Saturday.

Nuggets vs Bulls Best Bet: Nuggets -5.5 (-104)

Denver has dropped 3 straight, time for them to end that poor run. Chicago just traded away two big pieces in White and Vucevic, with a healthy Jokic I think Denver will have the upper hand here.

Warriors vs Lakers Best Bet: Lakers -3 (-106)

Lakers missing Luka, but they compensate that with the addition of Austin Reaves who is back from injury and just had a massive game vs Philadelphia. Golden State is without Steph and Jimmy Butler, plus a few other key rotation players. Too much to overcome vs a strong home team like LA.

76ers vs Suns Best Bet: 76ers +1.5 (-110)

Philadelphia missed a bunch of shots from downtown in the Lakers game the other way, I think their luck will turn around vs the Suns who are giving up 36% of threes to opponents over their last 3 games.

Grizzlies vs Trail Blazers Best Bet: Trail Blazers -9.5 (-110)

These two lock horns less than 24 hours after their match-up at Moda Center, with the Blazers coming out on top by double-digits. Deni Avdija did not play, but it didn’t matter as the Grizzlies simply couldn’t keep up without JJJ offensively. With the possibility of Avdija returning, the Trail Blazers should dominate once again.

Cavaliers vs Kings Best Bet: Cavaliers -12 (-110)

Sacramento has lost 11 games in a row, coming off a home defeat to the Clippers last night. They’re just 2-7 SU in 9 games with no rest this season, it’s quite obvious winning isn’t a priority for them at the moment. Back Cleveland to get the job done.
