I went 6-3 on my NBA best bets yesterday, hoping to keep the momentum going with 8 more games coming our way on Saturday. The action begins in Miami with the Heat and Timberwolves clashing in the early tipoff at 5:00 pm ET on NBA TV. After that we have the Knicks and Sixers going head-to-head at 7:30 pm ET, followed by the Clippers and Celtics locking horns at 10:30 pm ET.
I have done my research on all 8 games, bringing you a variety of picks to spice up your viewing experience. Be sure to check our NBA picks for predictions on the side and total, but now let’s dive into my bets!
Timberwolves vs Heat Best Bet: Davion Mitchell Over 1.5 rebounds (-178)
Getting 2 rebounds should be fairly easy for Mitchell. He has done it in 21 of 32 games this season, plus the Timberwolves rank second in rebounds allowed to opposing point guards this season.
76ers vs Knicks Best Bet: 76ers +3.5 (-110)
Philadelphia is in far better shape injury wise, plus it has the rest advantage; the Knicks just played last night against Atlanta, losing by double-digits. Maxey and company won the first meeting at MSG, and I’m doubling down on Philly.
Hawks vs Raptors Best Bet: Hawks +3.5 (-110)
Assuming Trae Young doesn’t play, this should be all Hawks. They just beat Minnesota and New York in back-to-back games by double-digits, looking sharper both offensively and defensively.
Hornets vs Bulls Best Bet: Over 237.5 (-108)
These 2 teams rank 24th and 26th in defense this season. Chicago plays at the third-fastest pace in the league. With both of them playing on the second night of a back-to-back, the defenses might take a back seat.
Trail Blazers vs Spurs Best Bet: Trail Blazers +8.5 (-110)
The spread is a tad too big for me to trust the Spurs to cover. Portland is in solid rhythm at the moment, having won 3 of 4 games. Surely the Blazers can keep this one close?
Rockets vs Mavericks Best Bet: Rockets -8 (-112)
Rockets have won 4 in a row, 3 of those by double-digits. Dallas is in limbo, having dropped 4 straight. The Mavs just got blown out at home by Philly despite having AD in the middle.
Jazz vs Warriors Best Bet: Stephen Curry Over 4.5 threes (-125)
Curry returns fresh after sitting out last night’s game against Oklahoma City. He should have a high-scoring output against a Jazz team that gives up the most threes this season and also gives up the most to opposing PGs.
Celtics vs Clippers Best Bet: James Harden Over 2.5 threes (-172)
After this most recent run by the Clippers, how can you not go with the Beard in this game? He has knocked down 3 threes in 19 of 31 games this season (61%). Boston ranks fourth in threes allowed to opposing PGs and seventh in threes allowed overall this season. In the first H2H meeting, Harden knocked down 5 on 11 attempts.
