It promises to be yet another spectacular weekend in the Association as 20 teams hit the NBA hardwood on Saturday. NBA TV will have a double-header as well, starting at 7 pm ET in Orlando where the red-hot Lakers take on the Magic. Part 2 of the double-header sees the Bucks take on the Suns in Phoenix at 10 pm ET.
My NBA Best Bets for every single one of these games are available below, odds are courtesy of FanDuel. Our in-depth NBA Picks will also be available shortly, but now let’s go over my selections!
Thunder vs Wizards Best Bet: Isaiah Hartenstein Over 7.5 Points (-135)
The Wizards have no interior defense whatsoever. Their last 3 games have seen them allow an average of 67.3 points per game in the paint, this should be a field day for Hartenstein who has cleared this line in 14 of 20 away games.
Grizzlies vs Hornets Best Bet: Coby White 2+ Made Threes (-118)
An excellent opportunity for Coby White to have a big scoring game. He’s knocked down a pair of threes in 62% of games played this season. Memphis allows the 3rd most threes to opposing PGs and the 7th most overall as a team. His last 4 of 5 games vs Memphis saw him hit on a pair of threes as well.
Cavaliers vs Pelicans Best Bet: Pelicans +4.5 (-110)
How can you not back the Pelicans here following their back-to-back wins over the Clippers? Cleveland might be without Donovan Mitchell, they are already playing with no Jarrett Allen down low. It could be a tight finish, the Pels have covered in 7 straight home games and are 5-1 SU in their last 6.
Lakers vs Magic Best Bet: Lakers -2.5 (-110)
Luka is on a scoring binge and the Lakers looks unstoppable at the moment. They take on an Orlando team that’s lost 3 games in a row, their confidence will be shaken up after a tough loss at Charlotte. The Lakers are also seeking revenge for the loss they suffered in the first meeting against Orlando, back in February.
Pacers vs Spurs Best Bet: Andrew Nembhard Over 6.5 Assists (+118)
Most of the Pacers offense goes through Andrew Nembhard these days. He’s collected at least 7 assists in 14 of his last 20 games, Indiana is playing without any pressure whatsoever here, so let’s hope Nembhard can find some open shooters.
Warriors vs Hawks Best Bet: Hawks -10 (-112)
Atlanta’s win streak came to an end last night, but they get a chance to bounce back less than 24 hours later as they host the shorthanded Warriors. They’ve won their last 9 home games and are 6-0 ATS in 6 home games against Golden State.
Heat vs Rockets Best Bet: Heat ML (+110)
Houston is on a 2nd night of a back-to-back, following a big win over Atlanta. They could struggle to keep up with the fast-paced Heat offense here – Miami ranks 1st in possessions per game this season, while the Rockets are only 28th. Houston is also just 5-6 SU in games played with no rest.
Clippers vs Mavericks Best Bet: Clippers -7 (-110)
LA is in a dire need of a result following back-to-back losses against the Pelicans. Portland has now overtaken them for the 8th seed in the West after their 3-game win streak, the Clippers should be able to bounce back vs a Mavs team that’s won just twice in 10 games and isn’t really focused on winning right now.
76ers vs Jazz Best Bet: 76ers -6 (-110)
Both teams are handicapped with a ton of injuries, but I give the edge to the Sixers who have won 3 of 4 games despite their big 3 being out. Utah’s mission right now is to lose as many games as possible to improve their draft odds, over their last 15 games they’ve won just 3 times and in their last 13 at home they’re just 3-10 SU.
Bucks vs Suns Best Bet: Bucks +11.5 (-114)
Even though the Bucks aren’t in the best of positions, I feel like the spread is a tad too big for the Suns to cover here. Phoenix has lost 4 in a row, their shooting percentage in these last 4 games has been under 45% three times. Milwaukee’s three-ball has been consistent over the past 3 games, with them connecting on 20 threes twice. I have the Bucks keeping this one somewhat close.
