Long-time NBA fan, following the game closely for 21 years now. Joined the Pickswise writing staff for the 2020-21 season and have given out winning picks since. Hopefully we can make some money together! Oh, and I firmly believe Lebron James is not one of the two best basketball players of all time. Yeah, I said it. The weekend in the NBA tips off with an 8-game slate, with some intriguing matchups coming our way. I have gone in depth with every single game, coming up with a best bet for all of them. Odds are courtesy of FanDuel, we got you covered with NBA picks for every single game taking place this weekend!

Let’s get into my bets now.

Mavericks vs Wizards Best Bet: Mavericks -3.5 (-110)

Surely the Mavs can beat a Wizards team that just allowed 148 points against the Cavaliers? Washington shocked Dallas in the first week of the season, now it’s time for revenge.

Raptors vs 76ers Best Bet: Raptors +5 (-110)

Toronto might be on a second night of a back-to-back, but it is in good rhythm following 4 wins in a row by double-digits against respectable opponents. Philadelphia is just unpredictable.

Lakers vs Hawks Best Bet: Lakers -3.5 (-108)

Luka Doncic always does well against the team that traded him on draft night. Lakers have won 5 in a row, it’ll be important to start off the road trip with a win.

Bulls vs Cavaliers Best Bet: Cavaliers -8.5 (-112)

Getting Garland back is huge for the Cavs. They just put up 148 past the Wizards last night, with most of their starters resting in the second half. The Bulls lost by double-digits in Milwaukee, they are slowly coming back down to Earth following their hot start.

Trail Blazers vs Heat Best Bet: Blazers -2.5 (108)

The comeback win over OKC really impressed me; I feel like the Blazers are on to something. Miami is on a second night of a back-to-back.

Pelicans vs Spurs Best Bet: Pelicans +10.5 (-110)

The line is just too big. San Antonio played last night against a very tough Rockets team, while the Pels haven’t and they’re on a 2-game win streak.

Pacers vs Nuggets Best Bet: Pacers +11.5 (-114)

Again, I’m just not a big fan of backing teams to blowout opponents when playing their 2nd game in 2 days. Out of Indiana’s 7 losses this season, only 2 of them were by more than 10 points.

Suns vs Clippers Best Bet: Clippers -4.5 (-112)

The Clippers get Kawhi Leonard and James Harden back. They just got beat by the Suns a couple of days ago, so expect them to get revenge.
