Following a long and eventful offseason, it’s finally time for basketball once again. The 2025-26 NBA season has already featured an excellent slate of hoops that showcased all of what the best teams in each conference have to offer, along with a couple of absolutely ridiculous performances by Victor Wembanyama that put the league on notice. Now, Sunday brings a nice 9-game slate, highlighted by a significant matchup between the Bucks vs Cavaliers in Cleveland.
You can find out our NBA picks for all of tonight’s matchups along with EVERY GAME this season, but for now, let’s dive into my NBA best bets for every game on Sunday’s slate.
Nets vs Spurs Best Bet: Spurs -10.5 (-115)

The Spurs have been a wrecking ball to this point, while the Nets defense has been a major issue through the first couple of games of the campaign. I can’t see San Antonio winning this game by less than double digits.

Celtics vs Pistons Best Bet: Pistons -3.5 (-108)

The Celtics injury report is littered with names ahead of this game, while Detroit should be in a good headspace following an impressive victory over the Rockets on Friday. Let’s back the hosts to keep things rolling at home.

Hornets vs Wizards Best Bet: Hornets ML (+110)

Charlotte has been feisty to this point, and even though the Hornets are coming off a brutal 4-point loss to the Sixers on Saturday, this is still the better unit in this game. I’ll grab the plus money with Charlotte.

Bucks vs Cavaliers Best Bet: Bucks +6.5 (-110)

The market hasn’t adjusted all that much to the Cavaliers’ early-season struggles without Darius Garland. I have real concerns with how the Cavaliers are going to execute down the stretch, and it’s no coincidence that Cleveland is 0-2 against the number thus far.
Knicks vs Heat Best Bet: Knicks -2.5 (-110)

The Knicks offense sure looks like one of the best units in the league on either side of the ball to this point, and this has not been a vintage Miami Heat defense thus far. New York should continue its winning ways on Sunday.

Pacers vs Timberwolves Best Bet: Pacers +12.5 (-110)

Even with multiple players out, the Pacers continue to simply find ways to compete with teams that are more talented on paper. Indiana should keep this one within single digits against a Timberwolves team that hasn’t looked impressive thus far.
Raptors vs Mavericks Best Bet: Raptors ML (-108)

Toronto has been a pleasant surprise to this point, while the Mavericks have looked like an unmitigated disaster, particularly on offense. I’ll take the Raptors to win on the road against a reeling team.

Lakers vs Kings Best Bet: Over 226.5 (-110)

Neither of these teams has been all that impressive, but each offense has shown to be a potent unit at this point in the season. Both of these defenses have allowed points in bunches, so the under is the only way I can look in what should be a shootout.

Blazers vs Clippers Best Bet: Blazers +8.5 (-110)

Portland is dealing with a lot of external turmoil as an organization at the moment, but the Blazers are playing good basketball. Another team dealing with such turmoil is the Clippers, and Los Angeles is decidedly not playing its best basketball. This should be a close one to end the night.
