After only 4 games on Tuesday, the intensity level is picking up in the NBA as 20 teams hit the hardwood. We’re in for a highly competitive night, featuring an NBC/Peacock double-header tipping off at 8 pm ET between the Spurs and 76ers. Phoenix and Sacramento wrap things up at with the late tip-off at 11 pm ET.
I’ve come up with my own NBA Best Bets for all 10 games, but don’t forget to also check our in-depth NBA Picks live on site. Without further ado let’s get into my predictions!
Mavericks vs Hornets Best Bet: Hornets -12.5 (-110)
The Hornets are arguably the most fun team to watch in the NBA right now. They’ve won 4 consecutive games, all by double-digits and now they’re expected to do the same vs the slumping Mavs who have a bunch of key players out injured. Charlotte is only 1 of 5 teams that has a double-digit positive Net Rating over the past 15 games played.
Wizards vs Magic Best Bet: Magic -15.5 (-110)
It may look like a huge spread at first glance, but the Wizards will be playing on a 2nd night of a back-to-back with several key players out injured. Orlando is due a big win following a sub-par stretch over the past week or so.
Pistons vs Cavaliers Best Bet: Pistons -1.5 (-115)
Cleveland remains without Donovan Mitchell, this will swing the game in the Pistons’ favor on Tuesday. Detroit knows how to win without a consistent three-ball, their last 3 games have seen them score less than 10 threes and they won all 3 of them.
Knicks vs Raptors Best Bet: Knicks -2.5 (-110)
New York has dominated all 3 meetings by double-digits this season. In fact, they’ve won 10 in a row against this team and until that run ends I’ll just keep on backing New York here. When you lose 10 games in a row vs a certain team it becomes a mental thing and I just don’t think the Raptors are strong enough to overcome that here.
Nets vs Heat Best Bet: Nets +13.5 (-118)
Miami is missing Norman Powell and Davion Mitchell is also questionable to play. Their scoring might take a dip here, Brooklyn is playing without any pressure whatsoever so I feel like they’ll keep matters somewhat close here.
Grizzlies vs Timberwolves Best Bet: Ty Jerome Over 17.5 Points (-102)
Jerome has appeared in only 8 games for the Grizzlies this season, but he’s already their leading scorer and has cleared this line in 6 of those games. Minnesota ranks 3rd for points allowed vs opposing PGs, so I expect Jerome to figure out the defense quickly here.
Spurs vs 76ers Best Bet: 76ers +7.5 (-102)
San Antonio’s win streak is over, now they face a tough Sixers challenge on Tuesday at Xfinity Mobile Arena where they’re just 1-8 SU in 9 visits. Tyrese Maxey has been on a tear averaging over 30 points per game in his last 10 outings. I can see the Sixers making a game out of this one.
Thunder vs Bulls Best Bet: Guerschon Yabusele 2+ Made Threes (-138)
He’s made a pair of threes in 7 of his last 10 games, Oklahoma City ranks 4th for threes allowed for opposing PFs as well as threes allowed overall as a team.
Pelicans vs Lakers Best Bet: Lakers -8.5 (-110)
Lakers have won back-to-back games by double-digits, I expect that trend to continue on Tuesday vs the Pelicans who just got beat by the Clippers 137-117. LA is now tied with the Nuggets in the loss column, so a win here gets them closer to the 5th seed. It’s an opportunity they won’t let slip away.
Suns vs Kings Best Bet: Suns -10.5 (-110)
It’s been a while since we got a Suns signature win, Tuesday might be the perfect opportunity for that to happen vs a lackluster Sacramento Kings side. The Suns are up 3-0 in the regular season series, the last 2 wins were by 12 and 27 points. Sacramento might be a step slow in their first home game back after a long road trip.
