I honestly cannot think of a better way to wrap up 2025. A total of 18 teams are in action in the NBA on New Year’s Eve and NBA TV has prepared a triple-header for us starting as early as 1:00 pm ET with the Warriors and Hornets going at it. After that, our attention turns to Cleveland where the Suns take on the Cavs at 3:30 pm ET, and then finally the Spurs and Knicks close out the year at 7:00 pm ET with a rematch of the NBA Cup Final. I’ve picked out my NBA best bets for every single matchup for tonight to hopefully end 2025 with a bang. With odds courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook, let’s dive in! You can also find out our NBA picks for all 9 games on Wednesday, December 31, as well as every game throughout the season!
Warriors vs Hornets best bet: Hornets +6.5 (-108)
Charlotte has been hitting the three-ball very consistently over their last 8 games. During this stretch they’ve knocked down 19 or more threes 4 times, which should help them keep things close against the Warriors on Wednesday.

Timberwolves vs Hawks best bet: Timberwolves -4.5 (-172)
Until the Hawks sort things out, I’ll just continue to bet against them. They’ve lost 7 games in a row and have allowed 125 points in every single one of those matchups. Minnesota just destroyed the Bulls by 35 points last night.

Magic vs Pacers best bet: Aaron Nesmith over 11.5 points (-106)
Both teams are struggling with injuries, so it’s hard to get a read on this game. However, I do like Aaron Nesmith’s chances of going over his line. He’s done it in 4 of 5 games played this season and in 9 of 13 games overall. The Magic allow the most points to opposing small forwards this season.
Suns vs Cavaliers best bet: Royce O’Neale over 2.5 threes (-138)
Royce O’Neale has cleared this line in 22 of 37 games, which is a success rate of 69%. The Cavaliers are known for a lack of three-point defense, as they allow the most threes against opposing small forwards this season.

Pelicans vs Bulls best bet: Pelicans -1.5 (-110)
New Orleans has won both meetings by double digits this season, and they’ll look to sweep the regular season series tonight against a Bulls team that’ll be without Josh Giddey, who is the engine of their offense.
Knicks vs Spurs best bet: Spurs -1.5 (-114)
The Spurs will be extra motivated to get a revenge win over the New York Knicks after losing to them in the NBA Cup Final. Mitchell Robinson is out, so it’ll be a struggle for the Knicks to slow down Victor Wembanyama down low here.

Nuggets vs Raptors best bet: Raptors -7.5 (-114)
The Nuggets just lost Nikola Jokic to a knee injury that’ll keep him out for at least 4 weeks. Only Jamal Murray remains from the starting lineup that started the year, which should be too much for Denver to overcome even against the Toronto Raptors.
Wizards vs Bucks best bet: Bucks -10.5 (-115)
Giannis Antetokounmpo is back, and he is on a mission to bring back the Bucks into playoff contention in the East. Milwaukee is 9-2 SU in 11 meetings, plus they’ve also covered in 4 of 5 games overall and go into Wednesday’s game riding a 5-game home win streak against the Wizards.
Trail Blazers vs Thunder best bet: Ajay Mitchell over 11.5 points (+100)
Ajay Mitchell is averaging 19.3 points per game on an unreal 71.4% efficiency from the field and 50% from three in 3 meetings with the Blazers. It’s quite obvious this matchup suits him, and he should continue with his hot hand.
