Best NBA Bets Today: Odds & Picks for every game on Wednesday, October 29

Since graduating from Davidson (The College That Stephen Curry Built), I have been writing about sports -- just about any and all you can think of! -- and coaching tennis in Atlanta, GA. Beyond the four major sports, I am an avid tennis fan and cover the ATP Tour on a daily basis. If I'm not busy writing, you can generally find me on a tennis court or traveling the world wherever a sporting event takes me. For Ricky Dimon media enquiries, please email contact@pickswise.com.

The 2nd week of the 2025-26 NBA campaign continues with a 10-game slate on Wednesday night. It features a doubleheader on ESPN, starting with Boston hosting Cleveland before the Lakers visit Minnesota. You can check out all of our expert NBA picks, but for now, let’s break down my NBA best bets for EVERY GAME tonight.

Rockets vs Raptors best bet: Rockets -5.5 (-110)

Odds available at bet365 at time of publishing

The Raptors have lost 3 games in a row, all by at least 6 points. It does not help that Jakob Poeltl (back) is doubtful with Rockets big man Alperen Sengun coming to town.

Cavaliers vs Celtics best bet: Cavaliers -3 (-115)

Odds available at FanDuel Sportsbook at time of publishing

The Celtics just aren’t the same team this season, and it’s completely understandable with Jayson Tatum on the sidelines. They are 1-3 so far, while a high-powered Cleveland squad is off to a 3-1 start.

Magic vs Pistons best bet: Magic -1.5 (-112)

Odds available at DraftKings Sportsbook at time of publishing

The Magic are far better than their 1-3 record suggests; they might even be one of the best teams in the East. Jaden Ivery, Ausar Thompson, Caris LeVert and Marcus Sasser are on the Pistons’ injury report.

Hawks vs Nets best bet: Over 238 (-110)

Odds available at bet365 at time of publishing

Neither team plays any defense. Brooklyn is dead last in the NBA in scoring defense, allowing 130.5 points per game. Atlanta had the fourth-worst scoring defense last season.

Kings vs Bulls best bet: Bulls -5 (-110)

Odds available at FanDuel Sportsbook at time of publishing

Zach LaVine of the Kings faces his former team, and it probably won’t go well for the visitors. They are without Keegan Murray (thumb) and the Bulls have come out of the gates hot at 5-0.

Pacers vs Mavericks best bet: Under 228.5 (-110)

Odds available at DraftKings Sportsbook at time of publishing

The Pacers (0-3) just don’t have a whole lot of firepower with Tyrese Haliburton sidelined by an Achilles’ tear and Myle Turner now in Milwaukee. In regulation, their 3 games have produced 226, 231 and 224 points.

Trail Blazers vs Jazz best bet: Over 234.5 (-110)

Odds available at FanDuel Sportsbook at time of publishing

Deni Avdija has come out of the 2025-26 gates like gangbusters, averaging 23.5 ppg for Portland. Lauri Marrkanen has been even hotter for Utah, scoring 34.7 ppg thanks in part to a recent 51 piece.

Pelicans vs Nuggets best bet: Nuggets -12.5 (-110)

Odds available at bet365 at time of publishing

The Pelicans (0-3) are horrendous, and what’s especially bad is that they don’t even own their 2026 first-round draft pick. As usual, Zion Williamson is hurt – questionable for tonight with a foot injury.

Lakers vs Timberwolves best bet: Lakers +7.5 (-112)

Odds available at DraftKings Sportsbook at time of publishing

Los Angeles is without LeBron James and Luka Doncic, but Minnesota is missing Anthony Edwards. Austin Reaves is going completely crazy, so the Lakers can be competitive.

Grizzlies vs Suns best bet: Grizzlies -1.5 (-114)

Odds available at FanDuel Sportsbook at time of publishing

I can’t trust the Suns. They aren’t any good to begin with, plus Dillon Brooks (groin) is out and Jalen Green (hamstring) is questionable. As such, Ja Morant’s supporting cast is better than Devin Booker’s.
