The weekend is finally here and the NHL is treating fans to more great games. There are 19 games from Friday through Sunday, beginning with a 6-game slate tonight. Early on, there have been some pleasant and some not so pleasant surprises in the NHL and this should be another great night of hockey.

If you’re looking to have some betting action, check out our NHL mega parlay at +963 odds below. You can also read our NHL predictions for picks on every game today.

Vegas Golden Knights -1.5 & game total under 6.5 (+215)

Carolina Hurricanes -1.5 (-130)

Buffalo Sabres vs New Jersey Devils over 7 (-110)

NHL mega parlay odds: +963

Vegas Golden Knights -1.5 over Chicago Blackhawks & Under 6.5 (+215)

Bettors do not need to overthink this puck-line pick. The Golden Knights look every bit as dominant as in their Stanley Cup-winning run. They are 7-0-0 and rank 4th in goals per game, 2nd in goals allowed per game, 9th in power play and 6th on the penalty kill. This one looks to be lopsided in favor of Vegas.

The under has been rolling for both the Blackhawks and Golden Knights out of the gates this season. Their combined over-under record this season is 3-11-0 including 0-9-0 in Chicago road games combined with Vegas home games. Chicago struggles to score and it will not get easier against Vegas’ elite goal prevention. This one sets up for another lower total.

Carolina Hurricanes -1.5 over San Jose Sharks (-130)

Entering the season, the Sharks were expected to be a bottom-tier team and so far, they have been. It is ugly in San Jose and it looks like this is going to be a long year as they are 0-6-1 with a -21 goal differential. That is an average loss by 3 goals and it is tough to take the Sharks against any team, let alone a good one like Carolina.

The Sharks and Hurricanes played last week and Carolina won 6-3. After a solid 3-0-1 start, the Hurricanes lost 3 straight before snapping out of it with a win against Seattle last night. Having struggled with consistency so far, the Hurricanes will look to get the train back on the tracks. The Sharks present a solid get-right spot for the Hurricanes, who should be able to run up the score.

Buffalo Sabres vs New Jersey Devils over 7 (-110)

The over is 6-0-0 in Devils games this season and has hit in 4 of their last 5 against the Sabres dating back to 2021. This season neither team has been great in terms of goal prevention. Buffalo ranks 18th in the league in goals allowed per game and New Jersey is 27th. That team weakness on both sides bodes well for another head-to-head over.

The Devils have 4 players with at least a point-per-game average, including superstar Jack Hughes, who leads the NHL with 17 points in just 6 games. Although the Sabres have not yet caught fire, they have a half-dozen legitimate offensive threats led by Tage Thompson and Rasmus Dahlin. The offensive talent in this game mixed with the weak goal prevention looks great for a high total.
