This week in the NHL starts on Monday with a modest 4-game slate. What tonight’s schedule lacks in quantity, it certainly makes up for in quality. Each matchup has the makings of a great and close game. Highlighting the slate is the Lightning visiting the Maple Leafs and the Bruins visiting the Stars. Elsewhere, the Panthers look to get back on track and the Oilers are starting to feel some pressure due to a bad start. These 4 games will be must-watch for hockey fans.

Panthers Win and Over 6.5 (+155)

Bruins vs Stars under 5.5 (-110)

Canucks ML (-105)

NHL mega parlay odds: +850

Florida Panthers Win and Over 6.5 (+155)

The Panthers were enjoying a nice 5-1-1 run before it was abruptly halted on Saturday. They will come out with some jam to avoid consecutive losses to worse teams. One loss is not reason enough to fade Florida unless they hit a true losing streak. This is a good team that has played very good hockey over the last few weeks.

Over the past couple seasons, the total has gone over in 9 out of the last 12 games played head to head between these teams. Columbus typically struggles on the goal prevention side and they have lost 5 out of their last 6. This is a vulnerable team once again that should give the Panthers some quality looks. This one has a good chance to reinforce historical head to head trends.

Boston Bruins vs Dallas Stars under 5.5 (-110)

This is going to be a great game. The Bruins and Stars have both been fantastic to start the season. Among a few similarities between these teams, they both have flexed strong goal prevention which has led to lower totals. The Bruins currently have the best goal prevention in the NHL and the Stars currently have the 5th best.

Low goals allowed per game is a good start toward a low total. But there is an even better recipe as neither team has been great on the goal scoring side. Low goals scored and low goals allowed is a great combination for a low total. Their combined over/under record is 7-14. Monday’s matchup sets up to bring more of the same.

Vancouver Canucks ML (-105) over Edmonton Oilers

The Oilers cannot figure it out yet. They are 2-7-1 with a -14 goal differential. Edmonton ranks 23rd in the NHL in goals scored per game and 30th in goals allowed per game. It just has not clicked. Until they start to show signs of turning things around, they are a fade.

Meanwhile, the Canucks have been a pleasant surprise early on this year. Vancouver is 8-2-1 with a +26 goal differential. They currently score the most goals per game in the league, allow the 2nd least, and have the NHL’s 4th best power play. This team is rolling and coming off of an impressive 2-0 win over a great Stars team. Vancouver should be able to take care of business.
