Tonight, we’ve got 6 matchups to get excited for in the NHL. Somewhat strangely, there are 3 games tonight that are part of back-to-backs for the same opponents. Several of these teams are well acquainted which makes for some good hockey. With each game that goes by, the runway obviously gets shorter for teams to make a move in the standings. We will largely see the efforts get better and better as the season progresses for teams to either move up in the standings or keep pace. We’ve created a 3-game NHL mega parlay for tonight’s action at +933 odds, which you can read below. You can also read our NHL predictions for picks on today’s games.

Stars ML (-110)

Jets ML & Under 6.5 (+264)

Golden Knights ML (-205)

Dallas Stars ML over Tampa Bay Lightning (-110)

The Stars and Lightning just met on Saturday in a game which saw Dallas run up the score with an 8-1 win. Is a 7-goal win an outlier? Yes. But all in all, the Stars are plain the better team both overall and recently. With that win, the Stars have 13 wins in their last 20 games and are tied for 4th in the Western Conference. The Lightning, meanwhile, have dropped 4 of their last 5 games and are at .500 on the season. They also enter tonight’s game having dropped 5 of their last 7 at home. The Stars are the more reliable team all around and can take advantage yet again of a spiraling Lightning team.

Winnipeg Jets ML over Carolina Hurricanes & Under 6.5 (+264)

What gives the Jets a little bit more appeal is being at home, as well as their better form over a longer period of time. Winnipeg is 7-5-1 at home and 8-5 on the puck line at home, while on the road Carolina is 6-6 straight up and 4-8 on the puck line. The Jets just snapped a 3-game losing streak, all of which were narrow losses to good teams.

Meanwhile, the under has hit in the Jets’ last 6 games and in 4 of their last 5 played at home. The total has also gone under in 5 out of the Hurricanes’ last 7 games played on the road. In a game between a couple of good teams in good form, there will likely be a smaller margin of error. That typically bodes well for lower totals.

Vegas Golden Knights ML over St. Louis Blues (-205)

The Golden Knights had an uncharacteristic November to the tune of a 6-5-3 record. Included in that stretch was just 2 wins in an 8-game span. They look to have bounced back, though, as Vegas has won their last 2 games against good teams by a combined score of 8-2. The Blues have been almost impressively inconsistent. They have traded wins and losses game-over-game in their last 6. They are above .500 but have a negative goal differential. Their average loss this season is by 3.27 goals. When they lose, they typically lose big. The Golden Knights are the better team overall, have won 12 of their last 15 at home, and have won 12 out of the last 17 played head-to-head.
