It’s a small NHL slate today with just 4 games on the docket, but that doesn’t mean we don’t have parlay picks for you. I have a selection for each of tonight’s contests, and I have combined them all to come up with a +1229 parlay.

Don’t forget to check out our NHL predictions page for even more analysis surrounding today’s matchups.

Canucks ML (+130)

Penguins vs Flyers Under 6.5 (-128)

Stars vs Wild Over 6 (-120)

Avalanche ML (-130)

NHL parlay odds: +1229

Vancouver Canucks ML (+130) over New York Rangers

The matchup taking place in New York should be an exciting one throughout, as the Rangers sport a 26-10-2 while the Vancouver Canucks sit at 25-11-3. In a battle between 2 of the league’s best teams, it may not make sense to take the away squad. However, the Canucks’ offense should be the difference.

Both teams rank inside the top 10 defensively in terms of goals allowed per game, but Vancouver leads the league in goals per game itself at 3.8. The Rangers, meanwhile, are just 10th. That’s still good — but not quite up to par with the Canucks. This should be a close affair, but I like Vancouver’s chances with the superior offense.

Pittsburgh Penguins vs Philadelphia Flyers Under 6.5 (-128)

Separated in the standings by just 4 points, both the Penguins and Flyers have had respectable seasons so far. Their success is, in large part, due to stellar play on the defensive end of the ice. Both teams rank inside the NHL’s top 10 in terms of goals surrendered per contest at 2.7 apiece.

With the high-level defensive play, however, both offenses have lacked scoring prowess — ranking 20th or worse in goals scored per game. There has been a total of 5 goals or fewer in 6 of the last 10 Flyers games, while Penguins games have a 3-2 record for the under in their last 5. It would be quite surprising to see either team explode offensively in this one.

Dallas Stars vs Minnesota Wild Over 6 (-120)

The Stars should be able to take care of business against the Wild, but whether they do or not, goals will likely be plentiful throughout. Dallas is averaging a shade over 3.5 goals per outing, good for top 5 in the league. The Stars haven’t been quite as solid from a defensive standpoint, surrendering 4+ goals in 4 of their last 5 contests.

As for Minnesota, it isn’t as prolific from a scoring perspective, but it should be noted that this club has amassed at least 3 goals in 6 of the last 10 showings. The Wild have also given up at least 3 in 9 of their last 10. Expect the over to be the result in this matchup, which would mark the 6th consecutive game in which Stars contests resulted that way.

Colorado Avalanche ML (-130) over Boston Bruins

The nightcap should be as terrific as the opening matchup, with the 25-12-3 Colorado Avalanche hosting the 24-8-6 Boston Bruins. Both teams carry a record of 4-1 over their last 5 games, too, which means they will get together when each side is clicking on all cylinders. The way they play couldn’t be any more different, though.

The Avs are powered by one of the league’s best offenses but have a middling defense. The Bruins have been one of the NHL’s best defensive teams but struggle to put the puck in the net at times. Good offense usually beats good defense, however, which is why the last of my parlay picks for today has Colorado defeating Boston.
