Best Bills vs Jaguars player prop bet: Josh Allen (BUF) over 7.5 rush attempts (-125)

Most analysts would agree that Buffalo’s path to success in this game not only revolves around Josh Allen’s ability to create explosive plays downfield with his arm, but he will also have to be prepared to use his legs to the Bills’ advantage. As we have seen over the past 5 years, the Bills have often turned to their superstar quarterback to carry them in playoff games, and the Wyoming product has typically used his legs in a variety of situations to do so. We can expect that to continue this week against a Jaguars defense that has not exactly played a murderer’s row of quarterbacks over the last few months.
With Jacksonville likely focused on containing James Cook, this could be a spot for Allen to make things happen with his legs on the ground, particularly on late downs. Allen has cleared this rush attempts prop number in each of his last 6 playoff games, and in 7 of his last 8 games in the postseason overall. Remember that kneel downs at the end of the game count for rushing attempts, so there are plenty of avenues for the reigning MVP to clear this number of us on Sunday.

For my second player prop pick in this game, I’ll be targeting the quarterback on the other side of the field to throw for two or more passing touchdowns. Despite getting off to a very slow start, Trevor Lawrence has been playing as well as any quarterback in football over the second half of the season, and that momentum should continue into this week against a Bills defense that should be focused on stopping the run, an area they have struggled with all season long. Lawrence has thrown for 18 touchdowns over the past 7 weeks, and he’s tossed at least 2 touchdowns in 6 of those games. With the game total set in the 50s, the Jaguars could certainly put up plenty of points in this one, and Lawrence should toss 2 or more touchdowns on Sunday. I’ll gladly take plus-money on this line, and would play it to -110 odds.
