It’s already the 3rd meeting of the season between the two East rivals Boston and Philadelphia. The first two were both nailbiters, a point decided the outcome on each occasion. Who comes out on top in the 3rd meeting?

Anfernee Simons to Score 15+ Points (-106)

Kelly Oubre Jr. 2+ Made Threes (-102)

Tyrese Maxey to Record 6+ Assists (-295)

Same Game Parlay odds: +399

Anfernee Simons to Score 15+ Points (-106)

Sunday saw Simons have arguably the best game as a Celtic as he torched the Orlando Magic for 25 points in just 23 minutes played. He was scorching hot from three-point land, connecting on 5 of 9 shots, while also making all 4 of his free throws. Whenever you have a player coming off the bench and knocking down 41% of his threes good things will happen. Simons is a seasoned veteran, for the first time in 3 season he is playing a bench role and so far he has adapted well. With Jayson Tatum out, the Celtics are forced to dig deep into their rotation to find points, one of the reasons why the signed Simons was his instant offense off the bench. He scored 13 and 19 points against Philly in the two meetings this season, with the 19 coming in the game played in Philadelphia 10 days ago. As good as Maxey and Edgecombe have been offensively, defense isn’t a strength of theirs and the numbers are backing that up. The Sixers give up the 3rd most threes to opposing SGs this season, so let’s hope Simons can go to work early here.

Kelly Oubre Jr. 2+ Made Threes (-102)

Oubre Jr. is putting up career highs in efficiency across the board – he’s shooting 51.1% from the field and 38.3% from downtown on 2.3 makes per game. Prior to the last two games against Toronto and Detroit, he had a streak of 8 consecutive games with at least two makes from deep, so I am looking for him to bounce back against the Celtics here. In two games earlier this season against the Cs he logged 34 and 41 minutes, knocking down 2 and 3 threes on respectable efficiency. With most of the Cs attention defensively being on how to contain Maxey, Oubre has a chance to flow a bit under the radar and make some damage as the 3rd or even 4th scoring option on this team. This bet has cashed in 4 of his last 5 games against the Celtics and in 8 of his last 10 overall. Boston ranks only 18th in opponent three-point percentage, allowing 35.9% of shots to go in. Count on Oubre to make his mark on this game.

Tyrese Maxey to Record 6+ Assists (-295)

Maxey has played a vital part in the success that the Philadelphia 76ers have had so far this season. He is doing his best Allen Iverson impression by averaging 33.2 points per game which is 2nd in the NBA only to Giannis Antetokounmpo. Maxey also ranks high up in the assists department, averaging 8.2 per game which is 6th best in the NBA right now. All this is due to his high usage rate at 29.2% which ranks 25th in the NBA. Not having superstar Joel Embiid by his side has forced Maxey to grow up fast and he is enjoying the best season of his life so far. Playing the Celtics is always a challenge, Maxey has answered the call in both meetings so far averaging 33 points and 10 assists per game while shooting 52% from the field and over 61% from three. He has cleared this line in 3 straight games and in 9 of 10 games played this season.
