North Carolina -10.5 over Boston College (-110)

Odds generally available at time of publishing

Boston College got the better of Louisville yesterday but may now struggle when they take on North Carolina. The Tar Heels beat the Eagles by 8 points at Chapel Hill earlier this season but UNC has been getting sharper at the right time, having won 4 of their last 5 games. North Carolina will know that it needs a deep run in the ACC Tournament if it is to make it to the NCAA Tournament.

It’s hard to believe that UNC may miss out on March Madness, given they reached the National Championship game last season and started this season as the top-ranked team. But the Tar Heels still boast plenty of quality and will be highly motivated for a big win tonight, knowing they need to do all they can to reach the Big Dance. Go with North Carolina to be victorious against Boston College by double digits.

California +14.5 over Washington State (-115)

Odds available at BetMGM at time of publishing

It was a very rough regular season for California, who managed just 3 wins in their 31 games. Although things look bleak for the Golden Bears to beat Washington State outright, Cal does have what it takes to at least keep things somewhat respectable. When these teams last faced off, the Cougars won by only 6 points and a similarly close matchup could develop here as well.

Washington State has covered the spread in just 4 of its last 13 games against teams with losing records, and although they have won their last 6 games, they have frequently been pushed to the limit. It’s also worth bearing in mind that if the Cougars are cruising then they may take their foot off the gas with an eye on the next round. If that happens, then that could leave things open for a back-door cover from California.
