After a massive day in college basketball yesterday, we are back with a smaller slate on Sunday. But that doesn’t mean we can’t have a mega parlay, so I’ve combined my favorite edges for today’s games in a parlay that pays out at over 7/1 odds at FanDuel Sportsbook.

Michigan Wolverines -9.5 (+240) over Ohio State Buckeyes
It was a strong start to the season for the Buckeyes, but that was short-lived. Ohio State went 2-7 in January and has lost 8 of its last 9 games to sink to the bottom of the Big Ten rankings. The Buckeyes are 11-11 overall and just 3-8 in conference play. In their most recent home game against Wisconsin, they never had a lead and trailed by as many as 18 points. Brice Sensabaugh fouled out, coach Chris Holtmann was ejected, and the entire team appeared disjointed throughout the contest. Meanwhile, Michigan doesn’t look all that better with a 12-10 record, but the Wolverines are 6-5 in conference play and have played more consistently against the better teams.
Each of Michigan’s 4 home conference victories was by 4 points or more, and the Wolverines have fallen only once at home in conference play – a 5-point defeat to Purdue. In contrast, Ohio State has won on the road only once this season, at Northwestern, and has dropped its last 5 Big Ten road games by an average of 7.8 points per contest. I think Michigan can continue Ohio State’s woes with a big win on Sunday.

Temple Owls +8.5 (+148) over Houston Cougars
Temple recently defeated then #1 Houston 56-55 on the Cougars’ own home court. It was one of the biggest upsets of the year as an unranked team took down the top-ranked team in college basketball, and although Houston has now slid to #3, Temple remains unranked. That victory is part of Temple’s 4-game winning streak that they’ve put together. Few predicted that the Owls would be competitive this year, and even fewer predicted that they could hold the top spot in February, but if they can repeat their previous performance, that is precisely where they will be.
In Houston’s defeat to Temple a few weeks ago, the Cougars outshot the Owls by 11 shots, converted 5 more of those attempts, and outrebounded Temple 39-33. The only area where Temple outperformed Houston was getting to the foul line, and the Owls made 10 more free throws. I’m not sure if Temple can have lightning strike twice and upset Houston again, but they’ve proven that their long and tall team can cause Houston problems.
