Autonation Cure Bowl

The College Football Bowl Games kick off with the Cure Bowl as the Tulane Green Waves will take on the Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns. As a team, Louisiana is averaging 437.2 yards of total offense and 32.5 points per game compared to the Green Waves who are averaging 394.9 yards of total offense and 25.7 points per game this season. I’m loving this game as the Ragin’ Cajuns have been the most consistent team as they 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games following a straight up loss as well as 4-1 ATS in their last 5 bowl games.

Pick: UL Lafayette +3.5 ATS – LOSS! (0-1 Bowl Record)

Gildan New Mexico Bowl

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-LiUolYaAds

Welcome to the Gildan New Mexico Bowl as the North Texas Mean Green will take on the Utah State Aggies. Coming into this game, North Texans is the small underdogs but they should not be viewed that way as they have covered ten of their last thirteen non-conference games. The underdog is also 5-2 ATS in their last 7 meetings. The Aggies will also be playing their last game with Matt Wells as he is leaving to take the job at Texas Tech.  Give me the points here.
Pick: North Texas Mean Green +7.5 – LOSS! (0-2 Bowl Record)

Mitsubishi Motors Las Vegas Bowl

There is a party in Las Vegas as the Arizona State Sun Devils and Fresno State Bulldogs will go toe-to-toe on Saturday night. This party night belongs to the Bulldogs and here is why. The Sun Devils will be without their star wide receiver N’Keal Harry as the Bulldogs average secondary will be getting a rest. Fresno State also has a strong rush defense as they have allowed just seven rushing touchdowns this season. It has been an up and down season for the Sun Devils as they are 2-4 on the road and have not looked consistent at all. Without a running game and their star receiver, it could be a blowout. If the Bulldogs win this bowl game it will be their first 13 win season in school history as coach Jeff Tedford is turning this program into a winning one. Give me the Dogs!

Pick: Fresno State Bulldogs -4.5 – WIN! (1-2 Bowl Record)

Raycom Media Camellia Bowl

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J41QOrCKxCY

The Georgia Southern Eagles are ready to unleash their new offensive play-calling in the Raycom Media Camellia Bowl as they take on the Eastern Michigan Eagles. These two teams have hit some holes in their season, but the most consistent team is the Southern Eagles and here is way. Their brand new triple-option attack is giving opposing defenses confused looks as the offense is ninth nationally in rushing yards per game (260.8) and averaging more than 450 total yards per game this season. Eastern Michigan has yet to take on this type of offense as they will show signs of their 2-5 start in this bowl game.

Pick: Georgia Southern Eagles ML – WIN! (2-2 Bowl Record)

R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl

This will be the last hooray for the Appalachian State head coach as he is taking his talents to Louisville. However there will be no drama in this game as Scott Satterfield is known for winning bowl games with the Mountaineers. The Mountaineers have won three straight bowl games under him and I do not see that changing. Appalachian State have one of the best defenses in the league as they are only giving up 15.7 points per game, which ranks 6th in the country. They only allow teams to gain 279 total yards per contest as the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders are going to have problems all day moving the ball.
Pick: Appalachian State Mountaineers -7.0 – WIN! (3-2 Bowl Record)

Cheribundi Tart Cherry Boca Raton Bowl

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kjMbwQzs1Kw

It has been a historic season for UAB as the Blazers are looking to win their first bowl game in years as the football program was shutdown for two years starting back in 2015. This season the Blazers set a school record for wins with 10 as they had an upset win against the Blue Raiders of Middle Tennessee to qualify for their third ever bowl appearance. On the flip side, they will be taking on the NIU Huskies who have struggled with their offensive line. They are not as consistent as the Blazers as this will be a defensive showdown as both teams are averaging under 30 points a contest. Give me the Blazers as they add to their historic season.
Pick: UAB Blazers ML (Money Line) WIN! (4-2 Bowl Record)

DXL Frisco Bowl

The San Diego State Aztecs are looking for a statement game to finish off the season as they had a up and down year. However this is the perfect time for them to turn around the year as they come into this game healthy. Senior Quarterback Christian Chapman is back with the team and the defensive minded Aztecs are all ready to go as they are only allowing 2.7 yards per rush. With the Ohio Bobcats only being able to run the ball on offense, I’m leaning towards the Aztecs as they are finally rested and have the whole team ready for this bowl win.

Pick: San Diego State Aztecs +2.5 LOSS! (4-3 Bowl Record)

Bad Boy Mowers Gasparilla Bowl

The USF Bulls are looking to end their horrible losing streak as they take on the Marshall Thundering Herd in the Bad Boy Mowers Gasparilla Bowl. The Bulls are riding a five game losing streak as they have yet to cover a game in the past four games and got blown out in their last home game. This will be another “home game” for them as the bowl game is being played in Florida. On the flip side, the Thundering Herd have been running the ball well and been sharpening up their defensive front. Marshall has the best bowl record of any CFB team that has played in at least five bowls. The Herd are 11–2, including six wins in a row. Take the Herd!

Pick: Marshall Thundering Herd -3 WIN! (5-3 Bowl Record)

Makers Wanted Bahamas Bowl

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A_gz0a327mc

The FIU Panthers will be in a for a huge test against the Toledo Rockets as they come in as touchdown underdogs. However they might not be the underdogs at all as they have covered nine of 11 games against FBS opponents this season. The Panthers defense is allowing a low of 24.7 points per game and has held four opponents to 20 points or fewer. Huge game for the Panthers as they only lose by a field goal in this one.

Pick: FIU Panthers +7.0 WIN! (6-3 Bowl Record)

Famous Idaho Potato Bowl

It is yet another bowl game as the BYU Cougars and Western Michigan Broncos look to square off. Both of these teams struggled to win down the stretch especially the Cougars  who have lost five of its last eight games. On the flip side, the Broncos have lost three of its last four but still are putting up huge offensive numbers. The Broncos are averaging  450 yards per game as they will be able to score points and often. Give me the points here.

Pick: Western Michigan Broncos +12.0 LOSS! (6-4 Bowl Record)

Jared Birmingham Bowl

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8ADBWH8mbXA

Anybody else ready to have some coffee and watch another college bowl game? In this game I’m loving the Wake Forest Demon Deacons as they have the momentum and the Memphis Tigers are coming into this game with blowing the conference championship and are 1-5 ATS in their last six bowl games. As for the Deacons I really do think they can win this game straight up.

Pick: Wake Forest Demon Deacons +3.0 WIN! (7-4 Bowl Record)

Lockheed Martin Armed Forces Bowl

The Army Black Knights got to win the Armed Forces Bowl right? All jokes aside the Black Knights enter this game with winning six of their last seven games against teams with winning records as they are capable of running the ball on anyone. The best part of the Black Knights is being consistent on a neutral site. They have won six of the past eight games on neutral sites. As for the Houston Cougars they have lost four of their last five games against teams with winning records.

Pick: Army Black Knights -4.5 WIN! (8-4 Bowl Record)

Dollar General Bowl

Might as well call this game the Troy Trojans Bowl as they recently played in the Dollar General Bowl where they took down the Ohio Bobcats. However even though this might be a home game for the Trojans, they are taking a on fierce Buffalo Bulls team. This Buffalo team is averaging 34.8 points per game and only allowing 24.7 point. They have one of the best defenses in the CFB as they are allowing just 184 yards in the air and total 34 sacks. All of which are top 20 in each category. Give me the team that can shut any team out.

Pick: Buffalo Bulls ML LOSS! (8-5 Bowl Record)

SoFi Hawai’i Bowl

The Hawaii Rainbow Warriors are 7-3 ATS in their last 10 meetings against the Louisiana Tech and the home team is 7-1 ATS in their last 8 meetings. The Warriors have too much riding on this game and they have a passing game that can stay in this game until the last second.

Pick: Hawaii Warriors ML LOSS! (8-6 Bowl Record)

First Responder’s Bowl

The Boise State Broncos enter this game with some momentum as they take on Boston College on Wednesday morning. For the Eagles, they are still in a huge slump right now. They are rocking a three game losing streak and will have to take on Brett Rypien Wednesday. The Broncos are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 Wednesday games as well as 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games following a ATS loss.

Pick: Boise State Broncos ML CANCELLED! (8-6 Bowl Record)

Quick Lane Bowl

I’m a bettor who is always looking who could be coaching their last game. That will happen in this bowl game as the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets will be sending off head coach Paul Johnson into retirement. Every single player is going to be making sure he gets that last win before he leaves and continue that run heavy offense. They will be going up against the Minnesota Gophers who are horrible against the run. They are allowing an average of 170.7 rushing yards per game. Even worse news for that defense is that there leading tackler Blake Cashman could be sitting out this game. He declared for the draft a couple of weeks ago.

Pick: Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets -6.0 LOSS! (8-7 Bowl Record)

Cheez-It Bowl

The California Golden Bears are looking to get a bowl win here on Wednesday night as they take on the Horned Frogs from TCU. This will be a defensive minded game especially on the Cal side as they are taking on the 3rd string QB from TCU. The Horned Frogs will need more from their ground game, but it will not be able to overcome the deadly Bears defense that is only allowing 122 rushing yards per game. Give me the Bears as they steal a win.

Pick: California Golden Bears +2.0 LOSS! (8-8 Bowl Record)

Walk-On’s Indepedence Bowl

Everybody is loving the Duke Blue Devils in this Bowl game as they have covered the spread in the past four bowl games. And there is a reason for that. Yes the Blue Devils have been horrible the past two weeks, but they have plenty of time to rest up and create a defensive game-plan to force turnovers. When they forced multiple turnovers, Duke won all five of the games against the top teams to kick off the season. Defense wins bowl games here.

Pick: Duke Blue Devils +3.5 WIN! (9-8 Bowl Record)

New Era Pinstripe Bowl

The Wisconsin Badgers are going to be in some trouble here as they will be starting frosh QB jack Coen, who has thrown for less than 500 passing yards in his four previous appearances. The Badgers are going to use the run a lot, which will also be a problem as the Hurricanes defense has been strong against the run with just allowing only 3.3 yards per carry.
Pick: Miami Hurricanes ML LOSS! (9-9 Bowl Record)

Academy Sports + Outdoors Texas Bowl

Even though this will be a “home game” For the Baylor Bears, I’m loving the matchup for the Vanderbilt Commodores. The Bears have been awful on the road this season and have been inconsistent all season long. The Commodores have been showing signs of a stronger defense as well as shutting down the run. Give me the Commodores.

Pick: Vanderbilt Commodores ML LOSS (9-10 Bowl Record)

Franklin American Mortgage Music City Bowl

I have been betting with Purdue since the start of the season and that will not change here on Friday morning. The Boilermakers are ready for another potential upset as they are 3-0 ATS this season as underdog, and 9-2 ATS their last 11 in that role. On the flip side, the Tigers have struggled having a huge spread thrown their way as they are 2-13 ATS when priced from -3.5 to -10 points.

Pick: Purdue Boilermakers +3.5 LOSS! (9-11 Bowl Record)

Camping World Bowl

The West Virginia Mountaineers should not be even playing in this game as they had higher hopes to compete in the Big 12 championship. However they might of shot way to far and now come into this game with back to back heart dropping losses. They take on an Orange team that has covered the spread in five straight non conference games, and they are 9-3 ATS in their last 12 against teams with a winning record. More fight in Syracuse in this one.

Pick: Syracuse Orange ML WIN! (10-11 Bowl record)

Valero Alamo Bowl

The Iowa State Cyclones have one of the best defenses in the game as they are only allowing 19.8 points per game on the road. With being the underdog in this game, head coach Matt Campbell enjoys it a lot as they are 15-8-1 ATS during his time. However on the flip side, the Cougars have struggled on bowl games in the past with HC Mike Leach as they are 1-7 ATS in the past eight bowl games games. Give me the points.

Pick: Iowa State Cyclones +3.0 WIN! (11-11 Bowl Record)

Belk Bowl

The South Carolina Gamecocks have been known for covering bowl games as they enter this one with covering four straight. On the flip side, it has been quite the opposite for Virginia as they have not bounced back away from home and will not recover from their season loss against their rival. Saturday kicks off with a huge bowl win for the Gamecocks.

Pick: South Carolina Gamecocks -4.5  LOSS! (11-12 Bowl Record)

Chick-Fil-A Peach Bowl

Finally some top bowl games to place some big money on. The Wolverines are looking for a statement win and they will be able to get it against the Florida Gators. The Wolverines are 4-1 ATS vs. a team with a winning record as well as 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games following a ATS loss. It does not matter who sits out, the Michigan offense has way too much depth for the Gators.

Pick: Michigan Wolverines -6.0 LOSS! (11-13 Bowl Record)

Nova Home Loans Arizona Bowl

Another toss up bowl pick here. Both sides have been playing extremely well this season, but there is a clear winner here. Even though Arkansas State won their last four games of the season they have not done so well against non conference teams. They failed to cover in their last four non-conference matches. With the Nevada Wolfpack hungry to get a win in this one, expect them to get the statement win and roll to a victory on Saturday.

Pick: Nevada Wolfpack ML WIN! (12-13 Bowl Record)

Goodyear Cotton Bowl Classic

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish will hope to make bettors happy as almost 65% of the money is on the spread as well as 60% on the money line. However all of those bettors will be disappointed after the final whistle as Clemson will stream roll the Irish. Etienne has the ability to keep the drive going and will cause a problem for the Irish who are giving up 133.5 yards per game against them. Huge win for Clemson.

Pick: Clemson Tigers -11.0 WIN! (13-13 Bowl Record)

Capital One Orange Bowl

This game is going to come down to the defense. Both teams have shown they can score points left and right but the clear better team in this Orange Bowl is the Crimson Tide. The Sooners have struggled against the spread as they are 1-3-1 ATS in their last 5 games following a straight up win as well as 1-3-1 ATS vs. a team with a winning record. Everybody is hoping for an upset but they will not get one here.

Pick: Alabama Crimson Tide -14.0 LOSS! (13-14 Bowl Record)

Military Bowl presented by Northrop Grumman

Time to end the 2018 year with some wins! Looking at this game the Hokies have been great ATS as they have won five of the past six games. They are also one of the best teams in December as they have won nine of the last thirteen in this month. As for their matchup against the Cincinnati Bearcats, they have struggled ATS as they are seven of their last nine in bowl games. Take the points.

Pick Virginia Tech Hokies +6.0 WIN! (14-14 Bowl Record)

Hyundai Sun Bowl

Can the Pac-12 finally get a solid bowl win here? It is looking like it as they are taking on the Pittsburgh Panthers who have struggled covering the spread. They have lost four of the past five games in against the spread and have lost five of the past six bowl games. That trend will continue as Stanford has won four of the past five against the ACC.

Pick: Stanford Cardinal ML – WIN! (15-14 Bowl Record)

Redbox Bowl

It is a Pac-12 day on December 31st as the Oregon Ducks take on the Michigan State Spartans. I recently had the Spartans as my pick, however with the recent news of quarterback Justin Herbet staying with the Ducks for his Senior year I’m loving the team morale right now. The Spartans are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 meeting.

Pick: Oregon Ducks ML – WIN! (16-14 Bowl Record)

Autozone Liberty Bowl

Will I continue my love for Pac-12 teams on Monday? You got that right. The Missouri Tigers are a very powerful team, but giving ten points to the Cowboys is just a bit too much for Missouri to handle. The Cowboys are 8-1 ATS in their last 9 non-conference games as well as 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games following a straight up loss.

Pick: Oklahoma State Cowboys +10.0 – WIN! (17-14 Bowl Record)

San Diego County Credit Union Holiday Bowl

Surely not every Pac-12 team will cover on Monday right? Well I hope I can prove others wrong again as the Utah Utes have been great ATS in recent games against the Big Ten as they have covered six of the past seven. And the Utes are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games following a straight up loss as well as 4-1 ATS in their last 5 bowl games. At worst, the Utes push this bet.

Pick: Utah Utes -7.0 – LOSS (17-15 Bowl Record)

Taxslayer Gator Bowl

The last game of the 2018 year as the Texans A&M Aggies will take on the NC State Wolfpack. I always look for players who will be on their send off and that will be the Aggies QB as this will be his last college game. Giving some extra emotion I do see the Wolfpack keeping it close as they are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 non-conference games as well as 8-2-1 ATS in their last 11 games in December.

Pick: NC State Wolfpack +7.0 LOSS! (17-16 Bowl Record)

Outback Bowl

This is a pretty simple and easy game to bet on. The Iowa Hawkeyes have struggled against the spread as they enter this game with being 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games overall as well as 1-7 ATS in their last 8 games on grass. As for the Mississippi State Bulldogs, they are clearly the favorites in this game as have played well recently.

Pick: Mississippi State Bulldogs -7 LOSS! (17-17 Bowl Record)

VRBO Citrus Bowl

The Kentucky Wildcats have had an impressive season thus far, but all of that will come to and end with a huge bowl loss. They are taking on the Penn State Nittany Lions who are on a roll right now as their defense is red-hot. They have only allowed just 20 points combined in their final three games. The defense stays the same with a huge win.

Pick: Penn State Nittany Lions -6 LOSS! (17-18 Bowl Record)

Playstation Fiesta Bowl

The public might be wanting to see the UCF Knights winning streak continue, but all of that will be coming to a harsh ending. The LSU Tigers will end the 25-game winning streak as their defense will be too much for the Knights. Even though backup quarterback Darriel Mack was decent in the win against Memphis, he will not be ready to take on the Tigers.

Pick: LSU Tigers – 7 – WIN! (18-18 Bowl Record)

Allstate Sugar Bowl

It has been a successful season for the Texas Longhorns, but they are clearly the heavy underdogs in this game. Tom Herman has built himself a new face for Texas, but they will not be able to keep it close against Georgia on Tuesday. The Bulldogs are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games following a straight up loss as well as 5-0 ATS in their last 5 bowl games.

Pick: Georgia Bulldogs – 12 LOSS! (18-19 Bowl Record)

Rose Bowl Game

It will be the final send off for Urban Meyer as there is no way his team is going to let him down. Urban Meyer teams have gone 9-3 ATS in bowl games, while Chris Petersen’s Washington teams are 1-3 in bowls both straight up and ATS. 5 Unit Play Here.

Pick: Ohio State Buckeyes -6.5 (18-20 Bowl Record)

CFB Championship Game

Here we go again as the Alabama Crimson Tide and the Clemson Tigers will be squaring off! This will be the 3rd time these two teams will be facing off in the past five years as I have the edge with the Clemson Tigers. The switch at quarterback to Trevor Lawrence has been the difference maker as they can easily stay with the intense Crimson Tide offense.

Pick: Clemson Tigers +6.0
