Week 6 of the 2025 NFL regular season is upon us, and it is highlighted in part by a Sunday Night Football showdown between the Detroit Lions and Kansas City Chiefs. It is yet another primetime game for Kansas City and the first of a couple this year for the lowly New York Giants. Here are my best TD scorer bets for SNF, and also be sure to check out our full Lions vs Chiefs predictions.
Lions anytime touchdown scorer best bet: David Montgomery (+100)
Odds available at FanDuel Sportsbook at time of publishing.
The Chiefs defense has not nearly been as sharp as it has been in years past, and Kansas City has certainly been susceptible against the run to this point. Detroit should look to keep the ball on the ground in order to keep Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs off the field, and that plays into this prop, as David Montgomery should receive plenty of touches in the red zone and around the goal line. Montgomery is coming off a game where he found the end zone, giving him 4 touchdowns on the season. Kansas City has struggled against the run, sitting at 31st across the NFL in opponent EPA per rush while also surrendering nearly 5 yards per carry. With that in mind, both Lions running backs should see success on Sunday, and I’ll target the one with the better price in this market.
Chiefs anytime touchdown scorer best bet: Xavier Worthy (+145)
Odds available at FanDuel Sportsbook at time of publishing.
On the Kansas City side of things, Xavier Worthy has certainly proven that he is a consistent target that Patrick Mahomes can depend on in a big spot. Worthy’s return to the offense was a massive shot in the arm for Kansas City, and the Chiefs immediately took advantage of his presence in the lineup over the past 2 weeks, to the tune of 11 receptions on a whopping 17 targets. Now, Worthy will get to shine against a Lions secondary that is much weaker than what the Chiefs went up against a week ago against Jacksonville. The Lions have allowed 10 touchdown passes already this season, so let’s back the top Kansas City wideout to add to that tally on Sunday.
