DFS Must-Start Players for the Divisional Round

Russell Wilson and DK Metcalf playing for Seattle Seahawks

This week is the second to the final week in DFS for football using full rosters. This week, much like last week, we only have eight teams to choose from to build our lineups around on DraftKings and FanDuel. This article, paired with the site-specific pieces for the site you use, will help to get you above the pay line for cash games on both sites. This article will look at the top quarterback, running back and wide receiver plays in the Divisional Round of the NFL Playoffs. We’ll begin by looking at the top quarterback option for this week.

Russell Wilson is the Preferred QB

There are two options this week in DFS for the Divisional Round of the playoffs. Either you pay up for Lamar Jackson and sacrifice the other positions, or you pay down and have better plays. I’m opting to pay down this week and go with Russell Wilson. The Seahawks vs. Packers game is going to be my favorite game to stack for this week in DFS. The Packers enter this game ranked 15th against the pass with allowing 233.44 yards per game. Wilson also gives the bonus of being able to take off on any play and add yards via his running ability. I look for Wilson to be the better value this week compared to Lamar Jackson.

Aaron Jones Has Huge Game Against Seahawks

One of the most prominent breakout players at running back this season has been Aaron Jones of the Green Bay Packers. The Packers have also relied more on their running game this season than in previous years, and Jones has nineteen touchdowns because of that. The Seahawks rank 22nd in rushing yards allowed per game and 27th in rushing yards per attempt. Our NFL Pick for this game is the Green Bay Packers, and Jones has a lot to do with that call.

Tyler Lockett Finds Paydirt

The Green Bay Packers have made significant strides this season on defense. However, the slot receiver has been the Achilles heel for the Packers this season. Tyler Lockett had a reasonably quiet game last week against the Eagles recording 62 yards on four receptions. There will be a lot of people that will use DK Metcalf following his massive game last week. However, I look for this to be the week for Lockett in this game against the Packers on Sunday. I also look for Lockett to find the end zone in this match-up making him my favorite play this week at the wide receiver position.
