This article will examine the top 5 must start players in week 12 in the NFL. We will look at the top quarterback, running back, wide receiver, tight end and flex position to get us into the winning circle for Week 12 of fantasy football. We will begin by looking at the top quarterback option.

Quarterback: Andrew Luck Colts

The Colts are projected to have the highest team total in the NFL on the Week 12 slate with 29.25 points. That means they are projected to get around four touchdowns. Andrew Luck has been on fire lately in the Colts winning streak and will be at home in a dome where weather will not be a factor. The Dolphins are giving up the 14th most passing yards in the NFL with 250.3, but have given up a lot more on the road. I look for Andrew Luck to surpass the 300 yard mark and throw for at least two touchdowns.

Running Back: Melvin Gordon Chargers

The Los Angeles Chargers are 12.5 point favorites against the Cardinals and are playing in a game with a total of 44.5. That means there is likely to be a lot of running play calls in this one by the Chargers. The Cardinals are giving up the 4th most rushing yards per game with 142. Gordon is the main back and doesn’t have any competition for carries, so he is the best bet for a running back to go over 100 yards and a touchdown.

Wide Receiver: Mike Evans, Buccaneers

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are playing in a game with the highest projected total on the slate with a total of 54.5 and are projected to score the 2nd highest team total on the slate as well. They are going up against the 49ers who are giving up 241.2 passing yards per game. OJ Howard is out for the season and Jameis Winston is back at quarterback for the Buccaneers and likes to pepper Evans with targets. I look for Evans to have a monster game on Sunday with 100 yards and a touchdown.

Tight End: Eric Ebron, Colts

Ebron is the receiver I’m pairing with Luck for this slate. Ebron was quiet last week and didn’t record a catch. The Dolphins have one good corner back and I look for him to cover T.Y. Hilton which means Ebron should see an increase in targets this week and with the Colts have the highest team total on the board Ebron makes the perfect sense at the tight end position on this slate. I look for Ebron to get around 60-75 yards and find the end zone for a touchdown as he is one of the bigger red zone threats.

Flex: Adam Thielen, Vikings

Adam Thielen had a monster game in the previous game this season against the Packers recording 12 receptions for 131 yards and a touchdown. This time he gets them at home in a must win game and the Vikings have the 7th highest team total on the slate with a projected total of 25.75. I look for Adam Theilen to go over 100 yards again and have close to ten catches in this one as well.
