The time has come once again where college football fans all over the globe are ready to kick off another season – Welcome to the beginning of a new College Football campaign. On Thursday, August 29th the first week of college football picks will begin as Pickswise, the home of free College Football Picks dives into the winning picks of Florida A&M Rattlers vs. UCF Knights

Against The Spread Pick

The Central Florida Knights will try to begin a new winning streak when they host the Florida A&M Rattlers on Thursday night. Central Florida had won 25 games in a row before finally losing on New Year’s Day via a 40-32 setback against LSU in the Fiesta Bowl. The Knights were banged up last year and this season may be a similar story, as the program is once again expected to be a national contender despite injuries to quarterbacks McKenzie Milton and Darriel Mack Jr. Milton is not playing in 2019 and Mack had offseason ankle surgery to delay the start to his sophomore campaign, so Notre Dame transfer Brandon Wimbush will take the reins after winning a three-way battle for the starting job. Florida A&M, which plays in the MEAC, has been picked by members of the media to finish third in its unheralded conference. The Rattlers went 6-5 last season and its toughest opponent–Troy–humiliated them to the tune of a 59-7 blowout. This should be beatdown city…obviously in CENTRAL FLORIDA’s favor.

Over Under Pick

Florida A&M struggled defensively while losing three in a row to end 2018 but returns senior quarterback Ryan Stanley (59.9 percent passing) among several other productive players on offense. Senior Deshawn Smith (640 rushing yards, four TDs) and junior Bishop Bonnett (533 rushing yards, three TDs) return at running back. Sophomore receiver Xavier Smith had 52 catches for 727 yards in 2018. Everyone will have to go off on Thursday to keep this one within five touchdowns or so because the Rattlers are unlikely to contain UCF’s offense. Look for this one to go OVER the total.
