After a long and eventful offseason, the 2025 college football season is finally here. There isn’t a large slate on the docket, but we do have plenty of interesting matchups on our hands, including a game between Fresno State and Kansas at 6:30 pm ET on FOX. The Jayhawks had a tough season last year, often playing without veteran quarterback Jalon Daniels, and also playing away from campus due to stadium renovations. On the other side, Fresno State is pushing the reset button, changing coaches and overhauling the program following the end of the Jeff Tedford era.

With so much intrigue in this Week 0 game of the 2025 college football season, a Fresno State vs Kansas Same Game Parlay is in order. Here are my favorite parlay picks for this matchup; let’s start the season off with a big winner!

Fresno State +14 (-115)

Under 50.5 (-110)

Jalon Daniels anytime touchdown scorer (+100)

Fresno State vs Kansas Same Game Parlay odds: +615

Fresno State +14 over Kansas (-115)

Kansas is replacing a good amount of production from a season ago, but 8 of 11 starters on each side of the ball will still be seniors, so there is experience to be had on this roster. Daniels is healthy (for now) but working with brand new receivers, and the Kansas defense is almost entirely new on the other side, especially in the secondary. There is talent and experience on both sides of the ball, but growing pains are likely in the early weeks. As for Fresno State, the Bulldogs brought in former North Dakota State head coach Matt Entz, who won 2 national titles in Fargo. This could be an instance of a difference-making coach immediately changing a program and it wouldn’t shock me if Entz’s team surprised some opponents early in the season.

Under 50.5 (-110)

Given that both of these teams are essentially brand-new operations heading into this season, we’re going to target the under in this season opener. As mentioned previously, the Kansas offense is incorporating a ton of new pieces, along with a new offensive coordinator to help run the show with head coach Lance Leipold. With that in mind, there will likely be some miscues and stalled drives on Saturday. As for the visitors, the Bulldogs are led at quarterback by EJ Warner, who has promise but has been extremely inconsistent in his collegiate career to this point. Additionally, Fresno State is a team that will likely look to run the ball and chew up clock under Entz this season, which makes the under an attractive option in Lawrence.

Jalon Daniels anytime touchdown scorer (+100)

To cap off our Fresno State vs Kansas Same Game Parlay, we’re going to take a shot on Jalon Daniels to find the end zone in his final home opener. The electric, dual-threat quarterback has all of the tools to succeed this year, and I’d expect him to be at his healthiest on Saturday. With that in mind, his workload on the ground could be higher than it normally would, especially with the Jayhawks breaking in new talent at the wide receiver position. Kansas’ offense was excellent at generating quality drives a season ago, but red zone execution did haunt Daniels and the Jayhawks in a few games last fall. Look for the veteran quarterback to take matters into his own hands once his offense nears the end zone.
