Hoey’s problem is on the greens — he is one of the worst putters in the field, but that’s not the case with Nico Echavarria, who can build on another solid performance in Mexico last week. The Colombian briefly flashed up in the top 10 on Sunday, before finishing 14th, and his blend of tee-to-green accuracy and touch on the greens should hold him in good stead. Three Bermuda visits so far have yielded no better than 23rd place, but he’s a solid wind performer who has won in Puerto Rico and finished runner-up by the coast in the RSM Classic, and in Hawaii at the start of this year.
