The Procore Championship has a very different look to it this year. And since one of them is Scottie Scheffler, that’s the favorite’s berth at Silverado Country Club in Napa, California locked in. Suddenly, a post-script tournament has got box-office billing and clearly it’s hard to see past Scheffler, winner of 5 of his last 11 and never outside the top 8 in the other 6 tournaments. This is his first look at Silverado, however, where scores will be low and a hot putter is required. With that in mind, let’s dive into my golf predictions for this week’s Procore Championship.

Procore Championship prediction: Maverick McNealy (+2800)

Maverick McNealy is another highly ranked putter this year and with good memories of contending at Silverado. World No.18 McNealy finished a shot behind Max Homa for glory at the Procore in 2021 and is going to California fresh from making the Tour Championship and just a few weeks after a brilliant 3rd-place finish at the BMW Championship. McNealy is in excellent form and should be able to go close this week.
