Week 8 of the 2025 NFL campaign is upon us, and it is highlighted in part by a Sunday Night Football showdown between the Green Bay Packers and Pittsburgh Steelers. In addition to Aaron Rodgers facing his former team, this is also an intriguing matchup simply because both teams are in great shape in the early stages of this 2025 season. Green Bay boasts a 4-1-1 record, while Pittsburgh is 4-2.
Here are my best TD scorer bets for Sunday night, and also be sure to check out our full Packers vs Steelers predictions.
Tucker Kraft, TE, GB (+140 at Bet365)
Pittsburgh’s defense is solid, but it can be somewhat vulnerable through the air. The Steelers are allowing 258.8 passing yards per game, more than every other team in the NFL except the Cowboys. They have surrendered 10 passing touchdowns compared to just 4 on the ground so far this season. Head coach Mike Tomlin’s team has struggled to defend tight ends. It is giving up the third-most fantasy points to TEs this year, so Kraft should be able to capitalize. The former South Dakota State standout has been awesome so far in 2025. He has 23 catches on 32 targets for 326 yards and 4 scores. Kraft is also the essence of a red-zone machine. Even in the 2 games in which he caught just 2 balls, he found the endzone on both occasions. Kraft has scored in 2 straight games after making 5 receptions on 10 targets for 58 yards and a touchdown during last Sunday’s victory over Arizona.
Calvin Austin III, WR, PIT (+400 at Bet365)
At bloated +400 odds, Austin certainly has the best value among all Steelers players to score a touchdown on Sunday. The Memphis product is back after missing 2 games because of a shoulder injury, and he should be back like gangbusters. Green Bay is incredible against the run, ranking second in that department at 76.5 yards per game allowed on an anemic 3.5 yards per attempt. It has surrendered just 3 touchdowns on the ground compared to 10 via the airwaves. Austin has already scored 2 TDs this year despite having participated in just 4 contests. It would not come as a shock if CA3 finds the endzone.
