One of the more intriguing contests on Tuesday’s MLB slate comes in Chicago, where the Cubs will host the Guardians in an interleague battle live on TBS. The Cubs have been one of the best teams in the National League all season long, and they’re the justified favorites against a lesser opponent at home. On the other side, the Guardians are certainly in the mix in the American League for a Wild Card spot. However, Cleveland is just 3-7 over its last 10 games, which doesn’t bode well heading into this series against a potential World Series contender. To add a little more excitement to this matchup, I have pieced together my Guardians vs Cubs Same Game Parlay picks at +412 odds. Chicago Cubs -1.5 over Cleveland Guardians (+118)

To start off our Guardians vs Cubs Same Game Parlay, we’ll go with the Cubs on the run line. Cleveland starter Gavin Williams is an ultra-talented arm with upside to be a top-end starter in this rotation. However, this isn’t a great matchup for Williams against a solid Cubs lineup. Williams has shown a propensity to struggle in the command department, and his 45 walks allowed through 80.2 innings of work is concerning heading into this one. This Cubs lineup is patient and more than willing to draw some walks, and they are also talented enough to take advantage of the mistake pitches inside the zone that Williams will inevitably give them.

On the other side, Matthew Boyd is the preferred starting option in this game from a matchup perspective, and he should see success against a Cleveland offense that has struggled mightily against left-handed pitching all season long. Additionally, Boyd enters in good form, as he’s surrendered just 6 earned runs across his last 6 starts, which spans a combined 36.1 innings of work. The Cubs should start off this series with a commanding victory at home, so I’ll take them on the run line to start our SGP.

Jose Ramirez to record 2+ total bases (+105)

For the 2nd leg of our Guardians vs Cubs Same Game Parlay, let’s go with Jose Ramirez to record at least 2 total bases on Tuesday. Ramirez has long been one of the most consistent players in the game, and this season has been no different. The 3rd baseman has already racked up 13 home runs and 92 hits (.309 batting average) this season, as he continues to be one of the best pure hitters in baseball. He also has seen plenty of success against Boyd, posting a .585 SLG and registering 12 hits — including 3 home runs — off the Cubs starter to this point. All things considered, this Ramirez prop holds plenty of value in a parlay where the Cubs also pick up the victory, so I’ll take a stab on the Guardians’ best player to keep things rolling.
