The MLB week continues with a full 15-game schedule on Tuesday. It includes the beginning of a 3-game series between the Cleveland Guardians and New York Yankees in the Bronx. I’m red hot in the early stages of the season, going 3-for-6 on Same Game Parlays at +481, +632 and +439 odds, 5-1 on YRFI/NRFI picks. Let’s keep the momentum going! With tonight’s showdown set for 7:05 pm ET on TBS, it’s time to break down my Guardians vs Yankees Same Game Parlay. Also don’t forget to check out all of our MLB picks for Tuesday’s slate.
Yankees ML (-180)
Anthony Volpe to get a hit (-160)
Carlos Santana to record 2+ total bases (+185)
Guardians vs Yankees Same Game Parlay odds: +625
Part of the value in a Same Game Parlay, of course, is that all of its components can be correlated if you so choose. That is some of the plan here, as New York shortstop Anthony Volpe getting at least 1 hit would obviously work well with a Yankees win. At the same time, plays that aren’t correlated drive up the overall payout of the parlay. That is the case with also backing Cleveland first baseman Carlos Santana to record multiple total bases. But even if Santana delivers, there is no reason why the home team can’t take care of business. Let’s break down all of the SGP legs.
New York Yankees ML over Cleveland Guardians (-180)
This is a good spot for New York with Carlos Rodon taking the mound at home and Tanner Bibee pitching on the road for Cleveland. Rodon has been stellar regardless of location this season, sporting a 7-3 record to go along with a 2.60 ERA and 0.94 WHIP with 90 strikeouts in 72.2 innings. The Yankees have won his last 3 starts and 6 of his last 8, including 2 in a row at home. Meanwhile, Bibee is saddled with a terrible 5.13 ERA on the road compared to a 2.43 mark at home. As for the Guardians as a whole, they are .500 as visitors and 6 games over .500 as the home team. The Yankees are 18-9 in the Bronx. They are also 17-6 in their last 23 overall and 10-3 in their last 13. Count on New York staying hot.

Anthony Volpe to get a hit (-160)
Volpe has hit safely in 9 of his last 12 games, a stretch that includes a 3-hit performance against Colorado is a 13-1 New York romp. The 24-year-old now has a favorable matchup on his hands with Bibee toeing the rubber. Volpe is 3-for-8 lifetime against the right-hander with 1 home run. Asking him to simply get 1 hit on Tuesday should not bee too much.
Carlos Santana to record 2+ total bases (+185)
Nobody in all of baseball has a better batter-vs-pitcher matchup on Tuesday than Santana against Rodon. Santana is 15-for-42 (.357) all time against the left-hander with 2 homers and 2 doubles. He has also walked 5 times. Given Santana’s current form, there is no reason to think anything will change. The 39-year-old is on an 11-match hitting streak, which includes 5 multi-hit efforts (and 1 game with 3 hits). During this stretch he has 3 dingers and 2 doubles. Santana should be in line for a huge day at the office.
