There is plenty of great horse racing action to look forward to across America on Wednesday, including at Finger Lakes race track. We have been crushing our horse picks for several months now (up 189.45 units dating back to Aug. 5) and plan on maintaining the momentum!
Here are 4 runners whom we expected to have a leg up on the rest of the competition. Let’s dive in discuss these potentially profitable plays.
2:18 pm Finger Lakes (Race 5) – Becca’s Wish 4/1
Race 5 at Finger Lakes is a $12,600 Claiming contest over six furlongs and I like the look of Becca’s Wish who has won here on three occasions, two of which were over this distance, and will take all the beating once again. This three-year-old filly is at her best when she can close from off a fast pace against a small field and that’s exactly what she will get here and I cannot see any of the opposition being able to live with her in the stretch.
2:45 pm Finger Lakes (Race 6) – Stabilize 6/1
Chris Englehart’s Stabilize is a five time course winner who has won at Allowance level on more than one occasion so this $19,400 Starter Optional Claiming event should be a much easier assignment in Race 6 at Finger Lakes. Last time out she finished fourth in this grade but was caught wide throughout so I’m able to forgive that run and she will be seen in a much better light if she can be waited with in behind horses and hopefully she’ll get a run at the right time here.
3:12 pm Finger Lakes (Race 7) – Jaa Mode 4/1
The penultimate race at Finger Lakes is a $25,900 Allowance over six furlongs and this one can go to Jaa Mode who is un-exposed with two wins from four starts and showed a likeable attitude to win here last time out. This son of Summer Front finished fourth in the New York Derby before winning that Allowance which was over an extended mile trip so I expect Andre Worrie to make plenty of use of him and get them all on the stretch early on.
3:39 pm Finger Lakes (Race 8) – K M Advantage 3/1
A weak looking $32,100 Maiden Special Weight is the eighth and final race at Finger Lakes and they all have their work cut out to get the better of K M Advantage who was a good second here on debut last month and should go one better this time around. She set the pace that day and was caught late to be beaten two and three quarter lengths by Busted Credit, with a huge seven lengths back to the third placed horse, so with a similar effort she should win.
