Horse Racing picks at Santa Anita race track on Sunday, December 26: Live your best life with Livingmybestlife

Swiss Skydiver wins the Preakness Stakes at Pimlico Racetrack.

There is plenty of great horse racing action to look forward to across America on Sunday, including at Santa Anita race track. We have been in fine form with our picks, up 207.25 units dating back to Aug. 5. We went 3-for-3 on Wednesday — including a 3-star best bet — while profiting 12.6 units before hitting a +700 winner and another 3-star play at +200 on Friday. Let’s keep the momentum going!

Here are four runners whom we expected to have a leg up on the rest of the competition. It’s time to dive in and discuss these potentially profitable plays.

Hi all,

Please see tonight’s American Racing Tips below:

4:08 pm Santa Anita (Race 5) – Bob and Jackie 8/1

It’s worth taking a chance on one of the longer prices on the board, as Bob and Jackie tends to save his best for Santa Anita. His form figures at this venue read 2193226, finishing second in the Grade 2 San Gabriel and Grade 3 Thunder Road earlier this year. His recent form has been a shade underwhelming, but he shaped better than the bare result at Del Mar last time and he may be able to lead from stall three. Jose Valdivia Jr will look to sit handily and if matching his Santa Anita efforts from earlier this year, he certainly has a place shout.

5:44 pm Santa Anita (Race 8) – Livingmybestlife 7/2

An explosive front-runner, John Sadler’s four-time winner can be expected to burst out of the widest stall and make all the running. She arrives on the back of two stakes victories, latterly over the mile at Del Mar, having no problems with the step up in trip. Her uncomplicated running style always makes her an appealing option and cutting back to seven furlongs will certainly suit her. The widest stall does little to temper enthusiasm and she’ll be extremely tough to pass.

6:49 pm Santa Anita (Race 10) – Flightline 4/5

The market has this as a match race between Flightline and Dr. Schivel, but given the figures the former has posted in two dominant victories thus far, he’s difficult to oppose. A son of Tapit, he cost $1,000,000 as a yearling and has won his opening two starts by a combined distance of 26 lengths. The way he powered clear in allowance company last time, on the bridle, was extremely impressive and still totally unexposed for powerful connections, he should have no problem stepping up in grade for John Sadler.

7:20 pm Santa Anita (Race 11) – Going Global 9/5

Has been a revelation since joining Philip D’Amato from Ireland, winning six of her seven starts in the US. That includes the Grade 1 Del Mar Oaks two starts ago, getting up in the nick of time to win the Goldikova at the same venue last month. Unbeaten in four Santa Anita starts, she clearly loves it here and her recent form makes her comfortably the one to beat. Drawing stall five is certainly no negative and stretched back out in trip, she’s going to be very tough to stop.
