5:43 pm ET Belmont Park (Race 6) – She’s A Natural 10/1 (1-star play)
A field of 10 beautifully bred fillies is set to go to post for this 9-furlong maiden special weight race on the turf course and one who can go well is She’s a Natural, who put up an improved performance last time out.
Flavien Prat’s mount is a 9-race maiden but she is getting the hang of things and ran a very good 3rd over a mile at Belmont Park last time, so she should go close with this extra furlong expected to suit.
6:15 pm ET Belmont Park (Race 7) – Sister Linda 7/2 (2-star play)
Race 7 at Belmont Park is a competitive $85,000 allowance optional claiming event in which Linda Rice holds a strong hand with Bustin Bay and Amanda’s Folly, but Michelle Nevin’s Sister Linda can come out on top.
This promising filly is 2 from 3 at this course, one of which was over this distance, and she holds a solid chance after an easy claiming win at Aqueduct last time out.
6:45 pm ET Belmont Park (Race 8) – Slipstream 8/1 (1-star play)
Christophe Clement’s Slipstream has had a few injury issues throughout his short career but he has a huge amount of ability and can go close in this valuable allowance optional claimer.
This son of More Than Ready was a Grade 3 winner at Belmont as a 2-year-old and a listed stakes winner last year, so I wouldn’t be writing him off just yet as he has been putting in some solid workouts.
7:15 pm ET Belmont Park (Race 9) – One Headlight 4/5 (3-star play)
The finale at Belmont Park is a maiden special weight for the male division with Tony O and Ferris Muler both having chances, but Todd Pletcher’s One Headlight is the one to be on.
He is a son of the top class City Of Light and was a good 2nd at Belmont last month, so if Irad Ortiz Jr. can get into a nice early position from stall 8 then they should win.
