Horse Racing picks for Belmont Park race track on Saturday, June 25: Breeze Easy can blow away rivals

Horse racing at Belmont Park

There is plenty of great horse racing across America today, including at Belmont Park race track. We have been on fire with our picks for a long time now and we are now up +320.63 units with our race selections to our recommended stakes dating back to August 5, 2021. Let’s keep it rolling!

Here are our best bets for today’s action at Belmont Park.

1:32 pm ET Belmont Park (Race 2) – Rheaume 9/5 (2-star play)

Unraced at 2 and 3, Rheaume made a winning debut at this venue when coming home 2 lengths clear of her rivals in a mile and 1/16th maiden special weight in April. She subsequently suffered a defeat when she could finish only 2nd, beaten 4 lengths, over the same course and distance in an allowance event at the end of last month.

She is open to improvement and looks up to helping jockey Trevor McCarthy improve on his 11% strike-rate (17/154) at this meeting.

2:03 pm ET Belmont Park (Race 3) – Breeze Easy 2/1 (2-star play)

Breeze Easy gained plenty of experience when racing in Europe, ending her time there with a 2-length 4th in the 9-runner Prix Herod over 7 furlongs on rain-softened turf at Saint-Cloud in November.

She debuted for current handler Christophe Clement with a good neck 2nd in the Grade 3 Soaring Softly Stakes over 7 furlongs at Belmont last month and, with the step up in trip likely to suit, she is selected to register a first victory in stakes company.

3:03 pm ET Belmont Park (Race 5) – Fingal’s Cave 3/5 (3-star play)

Purchased for $75,000 as a 2-year-old at Ocala last year, the daughter of Carpe Diem showed plenty of speed in the mornings prior to her debut, including when delivering a 1:00.00 5-furlong work early last month.

She impressed in drawing 6 1/2 lengths clear of her rivals over 6 furlongs at Belmont on May 21. Jose Ortiz takes the ride and she is taken to maintain her unbeaten record with trainer David Donk boasting an impressive 26% strike-rate (9/34) at this meeting.

4:40 pm ET Belmont Park (Race 8) – Shahama 9/5 (2-star play)

Shahama was unbeaten in 4 starts at Meydan in the UAE during the winter, including when taking both the UAE 1,000 Guineas and the Grade 3 UAE Oaks on dirt.

While she found a few too good when 6th in the Grade 1 Kentucky Oaks at Churchill Downs in her US debut, she acquitted herself well and with Flavien Prat up once more the daughter of Munnings is taken to register a 5th win in 6 career starts.

5:12 pm ET Belmont Park (Race 9) – Big Agenda 5/2 (2-star play)

Big Agenda competed in stakes company as recently as November last year, finishing down the field at Fair Grounds. He has won twice since then, including when racing behind the speed prior to delivering a neck victory over today’s rival Grand Journey in a similar race to this over a mile and 1/16th.

He was making his first start at this venue that day and has subsequently joined current trainer Rob Atras. Jockey Manny Franco is booked to ride and the 7-year-old looks capable of completing a double.
