Consumer Spending was a stakes winner at two when taking out a mile-and-one-sixteenth contest at Laurel. The More Than Ready filly subsequently finished a close-up sixth in the Grade 1 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf Fillies. She saw off the winner of that race, Pizza Bianca, in the Listed Memories Of Silver Stakes at Aqueduct on her seasonal debut in April and looks up to completing a double on the back of a 48.70 four-furlong breeze at this venue earlier this month.
5:43 pm ET Belmont Park (Race 6) – Devious Dame 8/11 (3-star play)
Purchased for $240,000 as a two-year-old at Ocala in Florida earlier this year, this daughter of Girvin made an impressive start to her racing career when winning by five-and-a-half lengths in a five-furlong maiden special weight at Churchill Downs early last month. She shaped like she would have no issue with the step up to stakes company that day and is taken to maintain her unbeaten record for trainer Norm W. Casse and jockey Joel Rosario.
6:45 pm ET Belmont Park (Race 8) – No Nay Hudson 13/8 (2-star play)
This son of No Nay Never demonstrated plenty of ability when seeing off six rivals by four lengths, having made all the running over four-and-a-half furlongs on debut at Keeneland at the end of April. He has been in good form in the mornings since then and representing trainer Wesley Ward, who has won this race twice in the past including with Overbore last year, the Irish-bred juvenile is taken to maintain his unbeaten record with John Velasquez in the saddle.
