Horse Racing picks for Finger Lakes race track on Wednesday, June 22: Winter Siren can make some noise

Horse Racing on dirt at Santa Anita

There is plenty of great horse racing across America on Wednesday, including at Finger Lakes race track. We have been on fire with our picks for a long time now and are up +308.23 units with our race selections to our recommended stakes dating back to August 5, 2021. Let’s keep it rolling!

Here are our best bets for today’s action at Finger Lakes.

2:58 pm ET Finger Lakes (Race 5) – Silent Invasion 3/1 (2-star play)

Race 5 at Finger Lakes is a $25,800 allowance race for the female division over an extended 5 furlongs on the dirt and Silent Invasion has a very strong chance.

This chestnut 3-year-old filly is improving with racing and after 3 solid efforts at this course she broke her maiden tag at the 4th time of asking last month. With more improvement expected, she can go well today. Be careful when placing your bets here, as Sweet Invasion runs in the same race!

3:25 pm ET Finger Lakes (Race 6) – Number One Dillon 4/1 (2-star play)

Number One Dillon is an admirable gelding who has won 4 races at Finger Lakes and he looks set to put in another big effort in this $17,600 claiming event, Race 6.

All of those wins have been over sprint trips, including one over this distance of 6 furlongs, so if this course specialist can get across and into a prominent position from stall 10 he should go close under Jacqueline Davis.

3:52 pm ET Finger Lakes (Race 7) – Winter Siren 10/1 (1-star play)

The penultimate race at Finger Lakes is a competitive $25,800 allowance race in which a case can be made for many, but maybe none more so than the filly in stall 2, Winter Siren, who can kick on now that she has got her head in front.

That victory came at this course last time out and with form figures of 872 going into that race it is clear to see that she was learning with racing. The confidence gained from that win last time should hold her in good stead for this.

4:19 pm ET Finger Lakes (Race 8) – Bourbon’s Hope 3/1 (2-star play)

A field of 10 is set to go to post for the 8th and final race at Finger Lakes today, which is an open-looking $25,800 allowance race over 6 furlongs on the dirt and I like the chances of Charlton Baker’s Bourbon’s Hope, who was a good 2nd in a similar event at this track last time out.

That effort came just a few weeks ago and it was over a trip slightly shorter than today’s 6 furlongs, so if this forward-going type can get to the lead from the outset his rivals may have to go some to catch him as he wasn’t stopping last time.
