Horse Racing picks for Gulfstream Park race track on Friday, March 25: Souper All Star looks tasty

Swiss Skydiver wins the Preakness Stakes at Pimlico Racetrack.

There is plenty of great horse racing action to look forward to across America on Friday, including at Gulfstream Park race track. Dating back to August 5 we are up 282.25 units and since March 2 we have turned a profit of 49.1 units. Let’s keep it rolling!

Here are 3 runners we expect to perform well today. It’s time to dive in and discuss these potentially profitable plays.

3:37 pm Gulfstream Park (Race 6) – Lido Key 7/2

Race 6 at Gulfstream Park is a $41,000 Starter Allowance over an extended 7 furlongs on the turf, and 3-time course winner Lido Key can take it.

This evergreen 6-year-old mare has been consistent throughout her career and with her last 3 form figures reading 112, all of which were at this track, it is clear to see that she remains in great heart.

4:09 pm Gulfstream Park (Race 7) – Tuwaim 7/5

The Al Shaqab Racing-owned Tuwaim is an unexposed colt who can make up for lost time in this $36,000 Claiming contest over an extended 6 furlongs on the dirt, Race 7.

Tyler Gaffalione’s mount is somewhat of a late bloomer as he’s had only 2 races so far and he’s a 4-year-old now, so he may have had injury problems, but he’s on the track now and can make it 2 wins from 3 starts after showing battling qualities to win at this track in January.

4:42 pm Gulfstream Park (Race 8) – Cuy 7/2

A field of 8 is set to line up in the penultimate race at Gulfstream Park and I like the gelding in the outside stall, Cuy, who was a comfortable winner of a Starter Optional Claiming event last time out and is looking for his 6th course victory.

He has more than enough ability to win in this Starter Allowance grade and 5 furlongs on the all-weather track is fine for him, so a bold bid is expected.

5:16 pm Gulfstream Park (Race 9) – Souper All Star 15/1

Mark Casse’s Souper All Star was a cosy winner of an Allowance Optional Claimer at this course last time out and this daughter of Union Rags is taken to build on that and win in the same grade.

This is a competitive race, but this is an improving filly who shows plenty of speed, a type her trainer does well with, and I fancy her to go well at double-figures odds in the last race of the evening.
