Horse Racing picks for Gulfstream Park race track on Saturday, November 19: Take a peek at Paco’s Pico

Jockey Leslie Mawing atop Highwaytwentyseven (5) wins the second race of the day as the Tampa Bay Downs

There is plenty of great horse racing across America on Saturday, including at Gulfstream Park race track. We have been on fire with our picks for a long time now and are up +231.84 units on our race selections to our recommended stakes dating back to August 5, 2021. On Friday we hit a pair of +350 winners and profited +10 units overall. Let’s keep the momentum going!

Here are our best bets for today’s action at Gulfstream Park race track.

3:49 pm Gulfstream Park (Race 8) – Towser 7/2 (2-star play)

Race 8 at Gulfstream Park is a $51,000 Allowance Optional Claiming event for the female division over a mile on the dirt and I like the chances of the filly in stall three, Towser, who was second in a similar contest here back in August. This three-year-old daughter of Into Mischief recorded her highest speed figure with that effort and can find some improvement for this extra furlong in distance.

4:25 pm Gulfstream Park (Race 9) – One Identity 6/1 (1-star play)

A field of nine three-year-old fillies go to post for this Starter Optional Claimer over an extended five furlongs on the all-weather track in which the Rohan Crichton trained One Identity can rise to the occasion in a race that consists of some really nice types. Paco Lopez’s mount is three from seven lifetime with all three of those wins being at this course and she comes into this off a nice four month break which would have freshened her up nicely.

4:54 pm Gulfstream Park (Race 10) – Cheerful Charlie 2/1 (2-star play)

The $60,000 Juvenile Stakes is one for the male division and there’s some nice unexposed types in here doing battle over an extended mile trip on the all-weather and the likely favourite Cheerful Charlie should take plenty of beating. He has done all of his racing at this course with his last five form figures reading 13232, three of which have been in stakes company, so it could take some performance to stop him here.

5:25 pm Gulfstream Park (Race 11) – Paco’s Pico 9/2 (1-star play)

Paco’s Pico is a very likeable gelding who has been very consistent in his career thus far as he has only failed to hit the board once from seven starts and comes into this off the back of a good second over course and distance back in May. The form of his two wins is very good so if recent impressive workouts have got him race fit then it’s all systems go for this son of Candy Ride who could yet have more improvement in him.
