2:13 pm Churchill Downs (Race 4) – Sweet Lady Ivanka 4/1 (2-star play)
Placed on both starts since joining her current trainer Ken McPeek from the Chad Brown barn. Delivered a one-and-a-quarter-length second over a mile on a sloppy main track at Ellis Park back in July and followed up with a fair nine length third over the same course and distance on a fast surface the following month. Ridden with restraint on each occasion and with Brian Hernandez up looks capable of registering her first victory at the fourth attempt.
3:50 pm Churchill Downs (Race 7) – Bell’s The One – 6/5 (2-star play)
Demonstrated a liking for this venue in the past and while she had main rival here Sconsin ahead of her when four-and-a-quarter-lengths third over seven furlongs in the Grade 3 Chicago Stakes over seven furlongs here in June she made amends with a victory in the six furlong Lady Tak Stakes over this course and distance subsequently. Sole defeat at this distance came in this race 12 months ago but she looks up to making amends with victory here.
4:22 pm Churchill Downs (Race 8) – Crazy Beautiful 9/5 (2-star play)
Victorious in a stakes race over a mile-and-one-sixteenth at Turfway Park in April the daughter of Liam’s Map has recorded some decent efforts in defeat since including when third in the Grade 2 Shuvee Stakes over a mile-and-one-eighth at Saratoga on her penultimate start. Held fourth in the Grade 1 Personal Ensign there subsequently this looks an easier affair and she is selected to provide Julien Leparoux, on board for both of those efforts with a winner.
4:55 pm Churchill Downs (Race 9) – Echo Again 2/1 (2-star play)
Made an impressive start to his race career when making all the running in finishing six-and-a-quarter-lengths clear of his six rivals in a six-and-one-half-furlong maiden special weight at Saratoga on debut last month. Advertised his well-being with a couple of recent works at the same venue, including a 51:27 four furlong breeze there last weekend and the son of Gun Runner looks up to providing trainer Steve Asmussen with a fourth win in a race he last won in 2014.
5:26 pm Churchill Downs (Race 10) – Necker Island 5/2 (2-star play)
Successfully returned to stakes company when delivering a neck victory in a six-and-a-half-furlong contest at Ellis Park in July. Has made just the one subsequent start with that coming in the Chesapeake Bay Stakes over six furlongs at Colonial Downs just over a month ago. Has wshown a liking for this track in the past winning five of his 12 starts here and the Hard Spun entire is selected to record career deliver an eighth career success.
