Horse Racing picks for Gulfstream Park race track on Thursday, December 8: My Destiny is a win

Santa Anita Horse Racing Turf

There is plenty of great horse racing across America on Thursday, including at Gulfstream Park race track. We have been in fine form with our picks for a long time now and we are +212.22 units with our race selections to our recommended stakes dating back to August 5, 2021. Let’s keep it rolling!

Here are our best bets for today’s action at Gulfstream Park race track.

2:36 pm Gulfstream Park (Race 6) – My Destiny 5/2 (2-star play)

Race 6 at Gulfstream Park features a field of seven females going to post for a Starter Optional Claiming contest, and I like the chances of My Destiny who is a three-time course winner and comes into this in good form.

Edwin Gonzalez’s mount was contesting stakes races at the start of this year and was a comfortable winner of a Starter Allowance at Los Alamitos last time so all points to another big effort here.

3:05 pm Gulfstream Park (Race 7) – Hoax 3/1 (2-star play)

Todd Pletcher has another nice two-year-old filly on his hands in the shape of Hoax who goes in this five furlong Allowance Optional Claimer and she has every chance of taking the victory now dropping down from stakes company.

She won her maiden at this course and looked as though she didn’t stay the seven furlong trip when finishing fifth last time so this five furlong trip should be much more to her liking and she can make every yard of the running under Edgard Zayas.

3:35 pm Gulfstream Park (Race 8) – Brooklyn Strong 12/1 (1-star play)

The penultimate race at Gulfstream Park is a competitive $72,000 Allowance Optional Claimer over a mile and a sixteenth on the dirt in which the likes of Mish and Super Corinto are likely to take plenty of beating but there’s value in Brooklyn Strong who can hit the board at double figure odds.

He’s a grade 2 winner who has been running in top stakes races throughout his career so he will appreciate this drop in grade and he is good enough to go close in this.

4:05 pm Gulfstream Park (Race 9) – No Wasabi For Me 4/1 (2-star play)

A field of nine two-year-old fillies line up in the finale and they’ll all have to go some to beat Mark Casse’s No Wasabi For Me who was keeping on well when finishing third in this Maiden Claiming grade here back in October and she can put that experience to good use.

That was over an extended five furlongs so this extra three furlongs in distance will suit so, with a good amount of improvement to come, she can win the finale.
