Horse Racing picks for Keeneland on Saturday, October 15: If it Ain't Broke, don't fix it

Horse Racing

There is plenty of great horse racing across America on Saturday, including at Keeneland race track. We have been on fire with our picks for a long time now, and we are up +288.04 units with our race selections to our recommended stakes dating back to August 5, 2021. Let’s keep it rolling!

Here are our best bets for today’s action at Keeneland race track.

4:12 pm ET Keeneland (Race 7) – Ashcroft 3/1 (2-star play)

Race 7 at Keeneland features some beautifully bred two-year-olds who go to post for this $100,000 Maiden Special Weight over a mile on the turf surface in which Wesley Ward saddles Ashcroft who can build on his debut fifth at this course back in April.

This son of Munnings was well fancied and showed good early speed before fading late on that debut run over a sprint trip so with that experience under his belt and with this step up in trip expected to suit, he should go close.

4:44 pm ET Keeneland (Race 8) – Ain’t Broke 4/1 (2-star play)

A field of seven females are set to go to post for this competitive Allowance over six furlongs on the dirt with Dale Romans’ Cancel This leading the way at the top of the market but I like the filly drawn down on the rail, Ain’t Broke who can back up her maiden victory last time out.

She showed a good attitude to win that race which came over this trip at Fair Grounds and if she runs to that same speed figure then she will be there at the finish.

5:16 pm ET Keeneland (Race 9) – McKulick 1/1 (2-star play)

The penultimate race at Keeneland is also the best race on the card and this is the $600,000 Grade 1 Queen Elizabeth II Challenge Cup Stakes for three-year-old fillies and my selection is the Chad Brown trained McKulick who is likely to go off a warm order and should win.

She’s a daughter of the legendary Frankel and is a grade 1 winner who comes into this in red hot form having won the Jockey Club Oaks Invitational Stakes last time out so I wouldn’t want to be taking her on.

5:48 pm ET Keeneland (Race 10) – Beverly Park 9/2 (1-star play)

Norman Cash’s Beverly Park is a three time winner at Keeneland and comes into the finale off the back of two Starter Allowance wins and it will take a good performance to stop him from making it three wins in a row here.

This horse has an outstanding record of twenty-one career wins from forty lifetime starts and he knows what it takes to win so if jockey Rafael Bejarano can get out of the gates and into a good position early from stall ten then they should take all the beating.
