Horse Racing picks for Keeneland race track on Saturday, October 28: King Fury can knock out rivals

The start of the Stonestreet Lexington Stakes at Keeneland on Saturday, April 16, 2o21 Lexington12

There is plenty of great horse racing across America on Saturday, including Keeneland race track. We have been in fine form with our picks for a long time now, as we are up +149.15 units with our race selections to our recommended stakes dating back to August 5, 2021. Let’s keep it rolling!

Here are our best bets for today’s action at Keeneland.

3:40 pm ET  Keeneland (Race 6) – Royal Slipper 4/1 (2-star play)

Race 6 at Keeneland is the 6-furlong Bowman Mill Stakes taking place on the dirt course and the only filly in this field, Royal Slipper, could come out on top for Wesley Ward and his team.

She went wire-to-wire when winning by an impressive 4.75 lengths over course and distance in her debut a few weeks ago and will be tough to beat if improving on that.

4:44 pm ET  Keeneland (Race 8) – Mo Stash 12/1 (1-star play)

A field of 10 is set to take to the track for the Grade 3 Bryan Station Stakes in which More Than Looks is likely to be a warm order, but Mo Stash was a winner the last time he was tried at this level, and he can go well at big odds.

Victoria Oliver’s colt has form figures of 241 at this course with that Grade 3 victory being at Keeneland, so I see no reason why he cannot put up another bold showing.

5:16 pm ET  Keeneland (Race 9) – King Fury 20/1 (1-star play)

The penultimate event on a Keeneland card loaded full of quality is the $350,000 Grade 2 Fayette Stakes which is an open race on paper and my attention is turned to Kenneth McPeek’s charge in gate 3, King Fury.

This son of Curlin is a multiple stakes race winner who has been impressive in recent workouts, so it would not surprise should he hit the board at a big price.

5:48 pm ET Keeneland (Race 10) – Act of Mutiny 3/1 (2-star play)

Claude McGaughey III’s Act Of Mutiny stepped forward from his debut 5th when finishing a rallying 3rd at Kentucky Downs last month and this son of Quality Road is fancied to break his maiden in the finale.

Flavien Prat’s mount is expected to improve again on that performance and will be more at home over this extended mile trip.
