The drop to a claimer today is a positive and given Scott Lake’s charge is the sole pace angle in the 7-horse field he looks up to delivering a 3rd career win having recorded a triple-digit speed figure when placing 2nd at Parx on his penultimate start.
2:43 pm ET Parx (Race 5) – Frame This 5/2 (2-star play)
Frame This has demonstrated good placed form of late, finishing on the board in each of her last 5 starts. The most recent of those came when she was 2 3/4 lengths 2nd in a 6 1/2 furlong $16,000 starter optional claimer at Parx last month.
The extra half-furlong today is no issue and the daughter of Kitten’s Joy, who is likely to be seen racing from off the pace, is taken to help trainer Louis C Linder Jr improve on his 18% strike-rate (35/193) at this meeting.
4:04 pm ET Parx (Race 8) – Divine Miracle 9/5 (2-star play)
Divine Miracle delivered a 2-length victory in a mile allowance contest at this venue last month. He raced in 2nd on that occasion having been given a short break since going down by a head in a $12,500 starter optional claiming contest at Parx in March.
He had been bidding to complete a 5-timer on that occasion and with regular jockey Frankie Pennington in the saddle he is taken to register a 7th win in 11 starts at this venue.
